In the book, And Then the End Shall Come, I had written in the very first chapter concerning this unity which our Lord prayed for that would come to all believers (His Bride). As does Dana’s dream shared with you yesterday. In the book I explained that unity would come because of the trouble that is slated to come for God’s people in the near future. What Dana shared from the dream as represented in the completed circle of 100 men I believe constitutes this coming unity in the body that Jesus prayed for, and which we His people have not yet experienced. It is a unity of message concerning God’s truth that will be spreading out to the world in power and as evidence of His power in us. Jesus in John 17 is seen praying for that time of unity when the world would be made to know.

John 17:23 I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and You loved them, just as You loved Me. (NASB2020)

In that chapter of the book I had explained that since salvation equals a coming out from among those of the world, that therefore the worlds “knowing” does not equal salvation; and that in the end the decision for the world is defined in Scripture as opposition.

I also had explained that opposition that then will be coming at us from the world. It will be the result of the world having then been brought into the valley of decision, and then making the wrong decision. This dream and the book then speaks as does the Scripture of that time recorded by Joel as occurring just before the coming of the Lord in His day of the Lord. It seems that the timing of that final decision making is fast approaching. Once we see the body come together in total unity, at that time unfortunately the world will manifest in complete opposition to what it sees and hears or “knows” about Jesus and His followers. There is a reason for this transition. God’s Spirit will not always strive with the hearts of men. Today is the day of salvation.

In last weeks sermon on the gift of the Spirit, which includes meekness or gentleness Pastor Tom pointed out that we must stay gentle with the wielding of the sword which is God’s Word as we wield it. We do this in order to walk in these characteristics of the Spirit within us. But he also implied that when God instructs the wielding of the sword (this Word) that it becomes our duty to proceed. The battle is the Lord’s, but we are soldiers in that battle. Remember that without (not just the knowledge of Jesus that the world is being offered), but in the acceptance of Him as Lord can man ever come to God’s offered salvation in Him. Jesus is truth, and without the acceptance of the truth of the gospel no man will find Jesus nor find the salvation that He offers.
