Remember, we are talking about the World here. I begin with a Tony Blair quote,

“The era of Western dominance is ending”, says former UK Prim Minister Tony Blair. “In order for the West to remain relevant in the new environment, it must come up with a shared strategy that is pursued with coordination, commitment and competence.”

So, is this the answer to a diminished western influence? The short answer is not simple, but it must be considered. It is diminishing: because Scripture says that this is what is coming to us from this world, which is by the way, not our home. So then that understanding could imply that we can’t change anything. Does it? If your theology is that God controls everything in this world; then you can’t even try to change our worlds direction, and we as a Church, which is told to have influence in this world, can’t impact things either.

And this then leads to a second way of viewing our world. We (the Church) have impacted the world for Christ, but we are watching that impact fade, and thus, because our God is all knowing: seeing the end even from the beginning; then He has foretold to us how this world will wrap up. Yet, have you noticed: the world itself is not really listening.

The western world was Christianized. What does losing its influence mean?

The question in the minds of many has been are we now close to this Biblical conclusion for what ever the reason may be. On the other hand there are those saying no the time is not yet.

There is no question that when the time does come for these events to play out it will not depend on the Church and it’s actions, but upon the world’s reaction to the Church. As it was in the days of Noah, no one was taking heed of the warnings that Noah represented by His witness. Noah was mocked. The earth was determined consequentially for a future destruction, because God had determined that beyond Noah’s family there was no hope for the then unresponsive citizenry of the world.

In order for the world to achieve this state the Church will one day lose its influence for Christ upon it, and actually in the eyes of this world the church will become an ineffective Pariah . This will happen due to the world’s choice of another. The world will choose an Anti-Christ system over the Christ who died for her. In so doing the Church will become not just a pariah, but an enemy.

Evangelizing (making disciples) is the Churches responsibility, it is our calling. The Holy Spirit draws men and uses us to show others the way to Christ. When that interaction ceases to have impact on the world, it seems that then Antichrist will be revealed and God will give them over totally to a reprobate mind.

2 Thessalonians 2:9 The coming of the [Antichrist, the lawless] one is through the activity of Satan, [attended] with great power [all kinds of counterfeit miracles] and [deceptive] signs and false wonders [all of them lies],

2 Thessalonians 2:10 and by unlimited seduction to evil [and] with all the deception of wickedness for those who are perishing, because they did not welcome the love of the truth [of the gospel] so as to be saved [they were spiritually blind, and rejected the truth that would have saved them]. 11 Because of this God will send upon them a misleading influence, [an activity of error and deception] so they will believe the lie, 12 in order that all may be judged [and] condemned who did not believe the truth [about their sin, and the need for salvation through Christ], but [instead] took pleasure in unrighteousness. (AMP)

Notice that in these verses, first comes the rejection of the truth by the world, and then the deception bears fruit in unrighteousness. The progression then is in God giving them over to their own way of thinking which was already evil, but then becomes without God totally reprobate.

Folks you will know when the Lord’s coming is imminent. Men from within the church will have been telling us that it is imminent for at least 180 years now. But, it will not be because man tells us that it is imminent, but because world events are progressing as God has told us that they will. Thus making His presence an imminent looked for event by believers, and a sudden unexpected catastrophic event for the world.

1 Thessalonians 5:2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. 3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. (KJV)

Until that day we must be the light pointing men and women to the soon coming King. He said: “If I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto Me.” It is not the Church that will bring Christ back, but the world in full rejection mode. Refusing to see Him (the truth) lifted up before them. This reprobate activity on the part of the world will indicate the end of this age of mortal mankind’s rule over the earth.

Tell them while the still have ears to hear.
