I often use Terry’s messages to point out the differences in what Dispensationalists teach and what is seen in scripture and what I believe is conflicting with their methods of teaching eschatology (teachings on the second coming). Actually in this post of Terry’s, I agree with his synopsis. I have expressed in the past in my posts my having been stirred by Hal Lindsay’s book, The Late Great Planet Earth, early on in my quest with God. And no doubt history as recorded in prophetic Scripture is taking shape today in this world.
Terry implies in his post: that seeing all of what is shaping up
How can we be happy about the 2022 Years prospects. With that concern I am in full agreement.
He concludes with the verse
And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. (Luke 21:28)
In light of everything that is stated in scripture concerning His people and His coming: can this verse be understood as the guarantee that we will miss everything that He tells us will come after that beginning? Or is He saying “take heart”; “keep the faith”, for I am coming soon, (which is His message to us in other passages). “Look to Me in these days”.
The new year may not be happy. Terry is right. What Satan has planned for this world and for Jesus followers during these times may not produce our happiness, but the Joy of the Lord is our strength. And we must keep the faith, and look up to Him in these trying times.
Terry’s synopsis is worth the read.
