Following is a quote from Terry James’ blog on WordPress. Pay close attention to just who needs to believe the gospel:

“This brings us to that way God offers all of lost humanity. That way is a person. In Him is the grace gift–the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world who takes away all sin from the individual who accepts Him.

That Lamb Himself said: “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man cometh to the father but by me.” (John 14: 6)

All of humanity (each individual ever born) must believe this or be forever lost –separated from God’s eternal family. The word “man” means humankind. It speaks of both men and women –all of humanity. No one comes to the Heavenly Father except those who believe and accept this gospel truth.”

Ok, you heard him.  There is nothing herein concerning which I can disagree. The statement is scriptural, but Terrys eschatology (his doctrine) on the Second Coming of our Lord completely contradicts it.  For there are deceptive differences between what he believes true within his beliefs about the coming Tribulation, (which will end mortal mankind’s involvement in the reigning of this earth), and what he stated as truth in his above quote.

Let me clarify the role of immortal man (those who will be resurrected when Jesus returns), and I’ll do this before we move on; for those in Christ spoken of here by Terry will reign with Jesus for the first 1000 years of eternity.  The reign is over Mortal men and Nations who enter that kingdom, which will still be on the earth and will be reigned over.

Now let’s examine Terrys beliefs and observe just why they contradict.  For He says and for further emphasis:

“No one comes to the Heavenly Father except those who believe and accept this gospel truth.”

So, how then does this (his belief) go against most all of his teachings on eschatology (the Second Coming)?  What he states here impacts every man and woman, yet he teaches that those who are saved and who die during the Tribulation are to be excluded from this body of believers, who are the saved and are  “in Christ”.  So understand, they must be saved in this same way. Terry agrees as described by him above, yet somehow during the Tribulation they are treated in his teachings on tribulation as though they will not need to be saved in this same way?  For though they are saved and are in Christ and then they die for Christ; yet they are ignored by him and by all Dispensationalists as being a part of the “dead in Christ”; concerning when the rapture occurs in relation to all who are the dead in Christ.

1 Thessalonians 4:16  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of [the] archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.  17  Then we who are alive, who remain, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. (NASB2020)

Now to be fair, there are other Dispensationalists, who because they understand this problem; they change the criteria for salvation when this Tribulation comes, and in so doing they contradict Paul’s teachings on the gospel.  For he says that there is only one gospel, and if anyone tells you differently they are to be accursed.

Galatians 1:8  But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed! (NASB2020)

Now these men who do teach that there is another gospel for Tribulation saints, interestingly, teach that the angel in revelation, who is sent out, to teach the gospel is teaching a different gospel.  A total contradiction to what Paul says of the gospel. They even tell us that it is just for Jews (this gospel), yet this angel is said to go to the whole world: to every nation?   As for me, I am just radical enough to believe God’s word. To me that means if Paul says that there is only one gospel; then this angel represents that one gospel, without which no man can be saved.  Just as Terry has implied here. And if I had ever taught that there was more than one truth for salvation, I would be repenting before God.  I can’t imagine what being accused of would mean here, and I don’t want to find out.

And yes, I have pointed out these discrepancies to both Terry and to Jan Markell, who promotes his books, as well as to other Dispensationalists, whether they are teachings on her nearly 1000 radio Stations.  Or they are a simple author and blogger such as myself. If I run across them, I dialogue with them.

I try to deal with biblical truth on this blog, and with what disturbs me when comparing scripture with what others teach. And when I am preparing a message such as this one, my prayer is that I not miss the truth of scripture concerning this teaching, and that I bring clarity rather than contradiction and confusion.  God bless you as you study. Please comment if you find anything to be confusing you and your understanding of Scriptures teachings.
