Mike Catella, a friend of mine just called to pass on information which was relayed from a recently trained poll worker. He was told to be sure that there are no other markings on your ballot before you enter it into the machine. Apparently any markings other than your vote, which were made by you or by someone else giving you your ballot could disqualify your vote. There should be nothing other than the actual recording of the vote. FYI.
If you notice such, ask for a new clean ballot.
