Actually the message I share today is from Sherry’s blog where she published Spurgeon’s sermons. Quite a preacher in his day was Charles Spurgeon.
This sermon not in its complete form, but impactful, caused me to take inventory. It’s not long but pointed.
It reminds me of the many things that I have learned from various people in the various churches that I’ve attended over the years. And from my own family made up of deeply committed believers in our Savior. But the one thing that has stood out for me in individuals whether family or church family is the honesty that for them was necessary in their admissions of their failures before God.
We all are sinful people. who because Jesus paid so dear a price on our behalf, we have come to want to walk differently even though we so often fail. I know that I do. I fail in my attitude, mostly because I’ve disappointed myself and my God. I fail my precious family, by not expressing my love for them as I should. But worst of all I fail my Lord by all of my wrongful deeds. But I am so thankful for His Holy Spirit who dwells in me as Jesus promised, and who pricks “me heart” concerning my sins and failures when they come. And so this message is worth listening to:
