Mark’s message is linked below today’s post.

We know that God dealt with man before Abraham differently than He did Israel; and we know that He dealt with Israel Of the Old Testament times into which the Messiah entered and forever changed. From that time forward all men the Jews and the Gentiles are treated differently under the New Testament. We can call those differences dispensations; but:

Why did Jesus obviously not see any dispensation beyond Himself; or between the time of these Jewish men and the Resurrection that He speaks of in Luke 20? So let’s examine what Jesus taught these Jews who are part of what Jesus calls; “this age”. Then He further describes it as an age of giving in marriage.  What is so obvious here is the lack of any other age mentioned or needed between their stated time of this age of men marrying and the time of the future resurrection.  For according to Jesus they will, if they are found worthy, actually be coming directly from this age of marriage and giving in marriage to the resurrection where Jesus says they are to be sons of God.  This is exactly what He taught when He was teaching these Sadducees concerning the resurrection about which they were challenging Him.

This age complete with its marriages and giving in marriage, must include the time of the New Covenant Church as well as the Tribulation prophesied to come by Jesus, before His Return; for Jesus said in the Olivet discourse: flee, and pray that you are not with child during your flight in those days.

So we are still in the age of His finished, New Covenant. No man cometh to the Father but by Me. Yet Mark, according to you we need another dispensation after these Jews, whom He is talking to here in Luke, one which would be a Church age without Israel (an age that is never mentioned in Scripture), and then yet another that should include Israel, but israel has already been offered her promised New Covenant, and she must enter into it.

But beyond this age of New Covenant and man and marriage you list, yet, another age or dispensation between the Church and the resurrection that Jesus is teaching these Jews about which Jesus prophesied to be the Great Tribulation before He comes, and then finally you say they would come to the Resurrection.

So, hear Jesus, and then tell me that He is wrong.  Luke 20:34  Jesus said to them, “The sons of this age marry and [the women] are given in marriage,  35  but those who are considered worthy to attain to that age and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage;  36  for they cannot even die anymore, for they are like angels, and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection. (NASB2020)

You in fact call these Jews, sons of a different gospel (gospel) of the kingdom (another gospel).  And you do not call them sons of God as Jesus calls them here. In fact Jesus calls them sons of God only should they become worthy of the resurrection, just as we will provided we are see worthy in Christ:  Romans 8:14  For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons [and daughters] of God. (NASB2020)

This statement results from following Christ (His Spirit) and is part of the gospel of which Paul has bee made a minister. But according to you, Mark, if you could prove yourself right; then there should be a different gospel for the Jews. Yet here we are called exactly the same as what Jesus taught Jews of the O.T. Period; before He had died and was resurrected.

So, The Church providing the New Covenant is a promise to Israel.  Jesus is Israel’s Messiah (the Christ), we are one with the Saints (one new man Eph. 2) and we will all including the Tribulation Saints reign with Christ.   Revelation 20:4  Then I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. And [I saw] the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the mark on their foreheads and on their hands; and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. (NASB2020)

So, how can anyone teach that we will reign over the saved of the Tribulation, who are to be somehow saved under another gospel? One which Paul tells us would need to come from demons if it exists at all.  Mark, think on these things.
