I’ve written many times using Jesus’ warnings concerning deception. Today, we see both sides of the political arena in this country demonizing the other. That seems to be a pattern when God involves Himself with this world. He calls for His people to Discern their times.
These times are spoken of in Scripture making them Biblical. These days are revealed as leading to the birth pangs of the last days due to the many signs that are given us to determine those days.
Suffering and famine are on our horizon due to the efforts of man to in most cases play God rather than to follow God with trust and devotion. Men believe that it is up to them to save the earth. At least they need to save it until their Technology provides their way to escape what they see as a dying planet. Even if they provide their scientific proof that the earth is in danger; still they are in so doing actually fulfilling God’s own description of them.
Luke 21:26 men fainting from fear and the expectation of the things which are coming upon the world; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. (NASB1995)
This verse I believe can be easily seen in what is occurring today. There is only one power in the heavens, and He is God. Man’s view of Him today is shaken on all fronts, as they seek to advance themselves through technology to god like status. But as they do this their own foundation of the wisdom that only comes from God is lost, and they advance in their reprobate state within an atmosphere of fear.
This fear drives them to further play the role of God, as they attempt to control population; and climate; and the very makeup of the Human species with their gene therapies invading the DNA of man.
Many more are the signs pointing to our time on earth. So, as our time advances deception is in full view. Thus, the demonization of others is to be expected. In Jesus own circumstance He was demonized by His enemies. His enemies were Religious, but they were as much political as they were religious. They rejected their own King. They were disowned by their God for their unbelief. Their religion was flawed. Jesus Himself demonized them. “You are of your father the Devil”.
What’s happening is not new. If one is to be on God’s side in this our day, they must have discernment, even as those did in Jesus’ day on earth. But understand discernment is not a guaranteed possession. Discernment is revelatory. It is revealed to us by God’s Holy Spirit using the teachings in His word.
Jesus even though He called the Jewish leaders, who had called Him beelzebub, children of their father the devil; still He when on the cross asked His Father to “forgive them for they know not what they do”. Why did He do that? The answer requires discernment. Jesus was proving His love for the world and His payment for their sin. God is always willing to forgive, but forgiveness requires not only the payment that Jesus made but the receiving of that payment exemplified in repentance, followed by fruit bearing. The understanding of that relationship requires discernment. For one to be discerned as to be living out that relationship God must be involved. “By their fruits you shall know them”.
Since both sides are claiming the other to be demons today; then you need discernment to know which side is God’s side.
We see both sides use scripture, but only one side is today calling for the advancement of righteousness in the land. Only one side ignores the Constitution and refuses to protect the nation by refusing conformation to its laws, and then demonizes those who advocate for such and, who actually attempt to perform what they preach when in power. This nation has immigration laws concerning our border. We have laws concerning our local and federal elections, and regarding the protection of the one person one vote responsibility requirement of this nations laws. One side seeks to uphold those, one does not.
This nation had abortion laws, and laws against murder, which were determined by State legislatures as the constitution requires. That changed with Roe, it has now been restored to the States where it belongs. One side pushed for that constitutional ruling; the other demonizes it, and thus is demonized for its stance.
To me the evidence is overwhelming as to which side is bearing good and which is bearing bad fruit. This does not take away the willingness on God’s part to forgive those bearing bad fruit, but repentance involves turning from one’s wicked ways. Preachers who tell you that God’s love is unconditional, don’t tell you the whole story. It is a catchy saying but lacks truth. God is a just God, and He is a fruit inspector. Even His own children those who He will not see as children of the Devil, He will reward based upon their fruit bearing.
Revelation 22:12 “Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward [is] with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done. (NASB1995)
You need God’s Son’s forgiveness in your life and His discernment if you ever wish to abide in abundance and peace with Him eternally. Seek Him while He can be found.
“And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, there stood a man over against him with his sword drawn in his hand: and Joshua went unto him, and said unto him, Art thou for us, or for our adversaries? And he said, Nay; but as captain of the host of the Lord am I now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship, and said unto him, What saith my lord unto his servant? And the captain of the Lord’s host said unto Joshua, Loose thy shoe from off thy foot; for the place whereon thou standest is holy. And Joshua did so”
Joshua 5:13-15
Years ago while I was witnessing a tumultuous split in an assembly of God’s people everyone was claiming God was on “their side” He gave me this verse …
“Art thou for us, or for our adversaries? And he said, Nay; but as captain of the host of the Lord am I now come”
and it made me realize God is not on any side HE is King. God’s judgment on His enemies is division, and in the division they destroy themselves. The fact that both sides are demonizing each other clearly reveals what spirit they are of. My preoccupation in the midst of the strife is to bow down and serve Him and not to get caught up in the contention.
“For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?” 1 Peter 4:7
God’s Judgement has already begun to fall on our land and more importantly on His church. The judgment on our land will begin at His church for her worldly ways and carnality. The coming persecution is to purify His church and it will be a terrible time and yet it will serve God’s purpose.
“Only by pride cometh contention…” There is no peace for those who walk not with God. Even if some of their “policies” or doctrines are right, it is still not God.
You will find nowhere in the N.T. where the church criticized or railed against the governments of that day. We would do well to take heed to our ways. It is not given to us to judge those out side of the faith… God will fully reveal His righteous judgments, we are to be concerned with the error and the perversity that is IN His church of whom we are a part.
“But now I have written unto you not to keep company if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such a one no not to eat. For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within? But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.”
1 Corinthians 5:11-13
May we spend our efforts on the issues in the church not outside of it. The word is clear.
Blessings and with deep appreciation

Love that perspective Brian, and it is with those who claim to represent Christ including ourselves that we need and cry out for God’s discernment, for there is much deception in the preaching of our day. Thanks for your words brother.
I have asked myself the question: What would happen if everyone felt that their vote did not matter? You know the answer: In time, our Republic or democracy would come to an end. God blesses nations through His people. We often take our freedoms for granted, and don’t take our system of government seriously. Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar’s. Jesus did not have a vote in Caesar’s day in the Roman Empire. I believe that Discernment would tell us to vote for the candidate who best represents ones values. Thanks again for the input Brian. Love you brother.
