What does it mean? — Things are escalating toward Tribulation. Knowing the times is something that Jesus expected of His people then, and certainly it’s even more important now according to Jan, and I certainly don’t disagree, but why? But, why is she as a pre-Trib teacher thinking this way?

There is an emphasis by Jan on this “knowing our times”, when frankly, if believers are living as they should be then it will make no difference when the Tribulation appears so long as we miss it as she and all of her guests believe will happen, but knowing our times will make a real difference if we are to be here when it comes. Knowing our times would certainly be important were that to be the case.

I’m sure that Jan would say that we in the church would be more fervent with our soul winning if we all knew our times as she and her guests know them. Yet scripture makes it clear that Jesus will not return before every last Gentile, who is to be saved actually gets saved (Romans11). She in fact would argue the point that when that occurs, then Jesus will take His church and Tribulation can then progress for Israel. So again I ask, why is it so important for the church to know now, what we have been told for nearly two centuries is not knowable, by the pre-Trib teachers. According to them, the fact that “No man knows the day or the hour” of His coming, has also meant that no man knows the times and seasons, because the “Rapture” is and always has been imminent ever since He left the earth sometime around 32 AD. That is their past teaching. That has been their message, since the 1850’s.

Personally, I have wondered for some time how the last Trump can be sounded before the last trump of scripture is to be sounded, but that is what they teach.

I have wondered how everyone who dies in Christ can be resurrected, as Paul taught, before the tribulation and thus before everyone who dies in Christ during the tribulation are raised. Does that not leave part of Christ’s bride behind, as I explained in yesterday’s post?

How does Jesus return for the church, which is to include every saved gentile, when every gentile is not saved until during the Tribulation?

Their belief has to be that the saved of Tribulation are not in Christ. They in order to be left out of the bride, must be saved without the New Covenant that He personally made with all who believe; otherwise if in the New Covenant; then they are in Christ and are partakers in the covenants and promises (Eph 2).

You see knowing our times and the fact that Tribulation is coming very near, allows us to warn not just our own, but the world in keeping with Jesus’ John 17 prayer, but that requires unity in message. We warn our own, because their will be a falling away. We warn the world, because there will be tribulation Saints saved and enthroned to rule with Christ — same promise as our own.

Revelation 20:4 Then I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. And I [saw] the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the mark on their forehead and on their hand; and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. (NASB1995)

How do these saved of Tribulation rule with Christ and the Bride, and at the same time are to be ruled over by Christ and the Bride?

This is the pre-Trib doctrine, that I am speaking. I know it. I grew up in it and watched it evolve. The truth of God’s Word does not evolve. It is always the same. It changes not. If Tribulation Saints rule with Christ; then they are part of the church that Jesus started with Jews, as He brought Paradise with Him to Heaven when He ascended. And now we are one with those Saints (Eph 2,3&4). Tribulation Saints will include Israel and will cap off the Bride.

Only then can it be said:

Revelation 19:7 “Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His bride has made herself ready.” (NASB1995)

Jan, I am still willing to come on with you to discuss these things from scripture, as I offered to do in 2016, when I sent you the book. Discussing the scripture should not frighten any in the church. If Post-Trib scriptures are wrong; then you should be able to show me where they are refuted by His Word. We cannot afford as His people to commit to any doctrine that is not in keeping with His Word.

Jan, you have the platform on which to impact the church and the world for truth. If there is any tension between the word and your belief, it must be resolved.

His Word cost Him His earthly Life. He could not go against His Word; and neither should we. To have done so would have disqualified Him from being, who He said He is. For us to do so will also cost us in like manner.
