This quote was taken from the following article:

Terry’s emphasis is on an escape from a certain time in the history of mankind (The Tribulation). He has a secondary emphasis which is the escape from hell. The truth is that all men who have lived up until this time, and who then have died have already escaped the last and greatest Tribulation period of mankind’s history. This is true whether or not they have or have not been born again of Gods Holy Spirit. But it is also true that everyone of them who have died without the acceptance of Christ’s offered salvation will spend the rest of their second resurrection lifetime in Hell. And hell is the time of God’s wrath that we are promised to escape. Terry and all who promote the pre-Trib doctrine are prone to place the emphasis concerning our need for salvation in the wrong place, just as he has done here.

Jesus’ promise of salvation has little to do with mankind’s involvement with the Tribulation. The Great Tribulation is believed to be only 3&1/2 years to at most 7 years of man’s history. And even then, the history of moral man is not done with. But that salvation has everything to do with where you and I will spend eternity which is presented beyond mankind’s history as mortals.

Mark 13:24 “But in those days, after that tribulation, THE SUN WILL BE DARKENED AND THE MOON WILL NOT GIVE ITS LIGHT, (NASB1995)

I had stated that man’s history is still not over even after the Tribulation is over, and what you just read proves that to be the case. “But in those days, after that Tribulation…”

So mortals are still alive during those days when the Sun and moon are darkened, and at this time of darkness everyone will observe the stars falling and burning themselves out over the horizon. Jesus then states:

Mark 13:26 “Then they will see THE SON OF MAN COMING IN CLOUDS with great power and glory. (NASB1995)

This coincides with the time that we see Him coming in wrath in Rev 19. And it coincides with the time that Paul tells us that we will receive our rest in:

2 Thessalonians 1:5 Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer: 6 Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you; 7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, (KJV)

Paul here in chapter 1, states that the tribulation that we receive from man in this life will consummate for them and for us at the time of Jesus coming with His mighty angels. It comes for mankind who has persecuted and troubled us, at that same coming, and will bring them their judgment which as we know will be poured out in the form of His wrath as He casts them into the lake of fire. We see this in verse 8 where He comes:

2 Thessalonians 1:8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: (KJV)

Paul has to be speaking here about Jesus coming after a tribulation where evil men of a one world government have treated the church (men and women belonging to Christ, who will not find their rest in the promised kingdom until He comes to recompense them (the world) with an even worse tribulation than what they were involved in against the bride, which recompense is that of wrath and of their being cast into hell itself.

And even then mankind’s history as mortals is not over. For Jesus separates the mortals left here following His wrath, who are the symbolic sheep from the symbolic goats

And the sheep, who are the mortal unsaved providers of water, food, drink and clothing for Tribulation saints, who are called Jesus’ brethren, will then enter into the kingdom with us, where they will be ruled with a rod of iron for 1000 years. The goats go into the lake of fire and do not enter that 1000 year millennial kingdom.

And then following a short lived Satan led rebellion these sheep remaining will be judged from the book of life along with all of the unsaved of mankind from the second resurrection. This judgement is to see if they be found written therein.

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. John 16:33 KJV

Nowhere in scripture are we told that the bride will escape this period of mankind known as Great Tribulation.

So, what then is the hour that the church of Philadelphia is promised to be kept from?

I believe that it is most likely the short time during the days following the Tribulation when the stars are falling; when the sky is darkened, and when men realize that they are toast.

Revelation 6:14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; (KJV)

If you read this entire passage you can radially see that Jesus has now appeared in His wrath, and He is known to even the evil of mankind. It is the time following great Tribulation when the sun, moon and stars sign have appeared. We therefore have been Raptured following the first resurrection. And the bride will have missed this hour of man’s final testing before Jesus sets His feet on the mount of Olives. During this time we are with His armies in the sky.

Matthew 24:26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. 27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together. (KJV)

In the sky Lord, in the sky.
