I applaud the use of the 1st amendment in President Trump‘s defense, but I am willing to bet that the Democrats will show their anti-US Constitution position in their vote in favor of Impeachment.

The question we should then ask is this — Should members of congress who took the oath of office then not be Impeached for so doing? You see theirs is an action against the Constitution not a protected speech.
