Psalm 37:4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. (KJV)
Psalm 51:6 Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom. (KJV)
Jesus said that it is from within a man that comes forth that which defiles him. The above verse let’s us know that God desires that truth be contained in our inward parts, and that without truth in the inner man there will be no knowing of wisdom.
Psalm 51:16 For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering. (KJV)
Sacrifice is even today as it was under the law, an outward act of the flesh that could not change the inner man. It could only cover the sins of the flesh that had proceeded from the inner man. Remember, it is Gods desire that truth be contained in the inner man.
Jesus came to bring truth and the needed changes to our inner man.
Psalm 140:8 Grant not, O LORD, the desires of the wicked: further not his wicked device; lest they exalt themselves. Selah. (KJV)
All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. None are good no not one. The good news of the Gospel is that our evil desires can be crucified with Christ. And our inner man can be changed for His glory and for our good.
Until the inner man is changed into what God desires we cannot know truth and wisdom.
Psalm 37:30 The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment. 31 The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide. (KJV)
We who are born again have been given the very power of God to withstand the enemy and become the sons of God. Having Overcome the curse that is upon man due to our sin we have escaped the coming wrath appointed unto all who are without Christ.
Ephesians 2:3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. (KJV)
Today our desires are turned from this world to the Creator.
Psalm 37:4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. (KJV)
Why would God who fashions and places this new heart within us not grant to us the desires that He places there? Seek ye first the kingdom of God and all these things shall be added unto you.
A righteous heart should seek nothing beyond what his God desires. The Creator Yahweh is our God and Yahshua is His Son.
“In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother”
1 John 3:10
“Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure”
Hope is the fuel which feeds the purifying fire of God within a right heart.
You have struck a very precious cord in the heart of God…
