Is There A Greater Price To Be Paid for Abortion than One Might Think?
Has the preacher of God failed in his warning concerning perhaps our greatest societal sin today before God?
Today in America and across the world, even as it was in Israel when their children were being sacrificed to Molech, there is a slaughter brought on by a selfishness and a lack of discernment.
But does the man of God also lack in his discernment concerning God’s word? If so, consequently the woman making this abortion decision also will lack in her knowledge concerning this sin.
To abort a pregnancy is to take a life, the murder question is debated, but will it be debated in the mind of God who knew you and each person when they were established in the womb? However when committing the act of abortion, does the mother also prevent that life from having the opportunity to walk with God. Today even conservative pastors teach that an aborted fetus is taken to be with the Lord. If that truly were the case then there could be not much more than just a little sin before God in the Abortion act. Because 80 to 90% of all those who are today aborted would likely never have found God’s salvation once having been born into this world, and yet there they are forever in the presence of God. In fact considering the teaching from the pulpits today, it can be rationalized that because one chooses to abort they have saved their child from a life of trials and tribulations, and in most cases hell itself. But is this the teaching of Scripture? And if not has false teaching taken the sting out of the sin of abortion?
There could be a failure to teach the word of God on this subject. God not man establishes His rules. The man of God is called to teach or preach what God has said in His word. Not what is tickling to the ear. Listen to Paul here:
For the unbelieving husband is sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified through her believing husband; for otherwise your children are unclean, but now they are holy (1 Corinthians 7:14 NASB)
Paul has clearly stated here that one believing parent will separate the child unto the Lord. An unborn child with no believing parent is stated here to not be clean before the Lord. So, to abort that Child for an unsaved set of parents is at least equal to, throwing him or her into the fires of Molech after birthing him or her. We would hope that a saved parent would never do such a thing.
But today’s prophet will say: “surely God will not treat the soul of this innocent unborn according to this word from Paul. How can one believe such a thing?” But most times this same prophet will tell us that a child who dies at the age of accountability without Christ will spend a conscious eternity in Hell. Are these pronouncement’s God’s plan? Is God still just? Is this even God’s word?
Then the Lord God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, knowing good and evil; and now, he might stretch out his hand, and take also from the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”— therefore the Lord God sent him out from the garden of Eden, to cultivate the ground from which he was taken. So He drove the man out; and at the east of the garden of Eden He stationed the cherubim and the flaming sword which turned every direction to guard the way to the tree of life. (Genesis 3:22-24 NASB)
God never intended for man apart from Christ to live forever in his sin. Man is mortal. Immortality is only given as God’s gift to man, who is in Christ or in the afterlife as an individually deserved judgment. Hell was created for Satan and his angels. It is not that God will not avenge Himself of His enemies:
“Rejoice, O nations, with His people; For He will avenge the blood of His servants, And will render vengeance on His adversaries, And will atone for His land and His people.” Deuteronomy 32:43 NASB
“ He keeps the feet of His godly ones, But the wicked ones are silenced in darkness; For not by might shall a man prevail. “ Those who contend with the Lord will be shattered; Against them He will thunder in the heavens, The Lord will judge the ends of the earth; And He will give strength to His king, And will exalt the horn of His anointed.” 1Samuel 2:9-10 NASB
Even though Hell was not created for man, and in fact was not even mentioned as part of the Genesis creation still one judged for his sins must pay for his own sin. Hell actually created for Satan and his angels will also be the place of mankind’s penalty when judged:
41 “Then He will also say to those on His left, ‘Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels; Matthew 25:41 NASB
A Man who rejects the Creator, who came and died for his sin will be judged. A fetus, a baby, a life in the womb who has never had the opportunity of choice will not be judged by the just creator for eternity or there is possibly no judgment at all in Hell for this one, but more likely they will just cease to exist. Hell itself is a place of eventual destruction for likely most, once their judgment is carried out. Also, a baby, who has never escaped the womb has never seen God’s creation by which God judges worldly man, who are out of the hearing of the gospel (see Romans chapter 1).
But neither does it sound as though this fetus, who has no saved parent would without a saved parent be taken to the Lord. The unsaved woman, who aborts her baby may have created much more grief for God as well as for herself in so doing. This because God is just and He abides by His own Word to us. His blessing of life has been spurned, with an abortion. Not by the fetus but by the mother. This aborted one whom God has created having an opportunity to love and serve Him has been refused that opportunity by this one’s own mother. That’s not God’s will.
This must be why the guilt syndrome of a mother is so prevalent, because she has given no credence to God’s laws when exercising her own will as she chooses to abort her own child.
In fact a mother who has no conscience for this sin will not likely be given any chance for repentance.
But to the mother who grieves over what she has done to her own child, then for her there is hope. In fact, there is hope not just for her but it would seem for her child as well should she repent and turn from her love of herself and of her world to a love for her God, who already loves her so, and who gave His only Son for her sins. And yes she has sinned. But If she believes that she and her child may be sanctified by her belief, and she then has turned from that sin, and is accepted by Christ Jesus, who prayed from the cross: “Father forgive them for they know not what they do”, then that child born or unborn would also be sanctified, even as is her unsaved husband.
and after he brought them out, he said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” They said, “ Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.” Acts 16:30-31 NASB
To preach and teach that the fetus always goes to be with the Lord is not in keeping with the teaching of Scripture – is It?, And to mislead women in this regard is to contribute to the abortion problem. – is it not?
To properly Teach from the Word of God is to give grieving mothers a reason to seek JESUS While He may be found. To make them feel good about what they have done has no redeeming quality, and it could make the preacher to potentially be taking part in the abortion problem.
Additional facts for you, it is thought that as many as 73 million children were killed across this world by abortion just within the last year alone. Would that number be lower should preachers the world over be making women think:
Think on these things. You are charged to preach the word, not your feelings.
This fits:
