I want us to look closely at this article, which was sent in its entirety on Jan Markell’s Olive Tree Ministries email.  

Some of this may sound familiar since I do also agree with the insinuation concerning these three Approaches. So let’s examine and dissect the concerns within the article and any overlooked concerns that the article may present:

I certainly have a similar concern, for all of Scripture is given for Doctrinal purposes in correction, reproof; and for our understanding of God’s desires for our righteousness.  

2 Timothy 3:16  All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: (KJV)

We can’t just ignore it, we must study it. 

this is the most prohibited and harmful way of teaching on any Doctrine including eschatology or end time prophecy.  Our Author overlooks some of the most egregious aspects of this “sensationalizing” and “prediction”, and those are coming from Dispensationalists teachers. For decades of my own life we were told that the Rapture was without signs; so now that signs are coming to pass confirming what post-tribulation teachers have always taught, is there any reconsideration given to the literal Scriptures teaching on their part?

When considering Ez. 38’s present day teaching she states:

This is the crux of the problems with prophetic teachers they add to the text. It was Hal Lindsay, who wrote of 88 reasons Jesus would return in 1988.  It is Dispensational Theology which has throughout our recent history told us that Jesus coming was imminent and unattached from the Coming again of Jesus to earth, which now tells us that when the Rapture occurs it will create such Chaos that it will trigger the One World Government and Antichrists reign.  Where in scripture is this scenario seen?

Exactly, how else can one miss truth in Scripture, then to twist its meaning thus causing the blindness and confusion.  If your understanding begins with a false premise you cannot see truth if it were to knock you over the head.  

If you begin your understanding with the Church as being something New that has nothing to do with Israel then you miss the Scriptural truth that Jesus came to fulfill for Israel and the Gentiles the promised New Covenant.  His blood sacrifice is the blood fulfillment of the old Covenant thus making all things new in Israel’s promised New Covenant. The Church that He introduces then is the vehicle for bringing in Israel’s New Covenant.  Miss this and you Miss Isa.54’s promise to have Israel once again to be married to her redeemer.  Miss this and you must miss Paul’s teaching of us as one new man, Jew and Gentile.  No more separation but one.  Miss this all of which is literal truth and you must have more than one “first” resurrection, which is adding to the literal.  You must have more than one Rapture, which is impossible within the literal teaching relative to the dead in Christ.  You must have more than one bride, which is not found in literal Scripture.  Our God is one God, would two brides not create more than one God. Israel your God is one God (Father,Son and Holy Spirit).  His bride is one new man.

If you miss all this then you miss that we as Christ’s Church (His chosen and elect) are as such in Israel’s New Covenant provider (in Israel’s Christ), and we are the recipient of all of the promises to Israel both covenantal and non covenantal as the literal Scripture teaches. 

Ephesians 2:11  Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;  12  That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:   13  But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.  14  For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;  15  Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;  16  And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:  17  And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. (KJV)

If you miss this then you must have another way of saving Israel; another gospel. And that is not biblical.  

1 Corinthians 15:20  But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.  21  For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.  22  For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. (KJV)

Israel has no other means of Salvation than the one man who iis their Christ.  If you miss these clear scriptural teachings of truth; then you cannot see clearly the future which is revealed in one Bride the new Jerusalem revealed as Israel God’s Church (one new man).  You are adopted if you have come to Christ into Israel even if you are a gentile believer in Christ.   If you cannot see this truth then you cannot see that this Rapture that you seek for comes only once following the resurrection of all the dead (in Christ), both Jew and gentile, who must be in Christ in order to ever be part of the first resurrection. 

And none of this my brothers in Christ is about the Church replacing Israel; for the Church is Israel’s new Covenant providers possession.  That provider is the Christ (the Messiah) of Israel.  

If you cannot see that; then you will not see that all that the Scriptures record leading up to Christ’s coming must take place as it now is doing, before He will appear.
