Jesus states that in essence He only repeats what He hears from His Father.  Is that not His example for us to follow.  What He did in order to accomplish salvation for us, was  the setting aside of who He actually is (His throne on His Fathers right hand) in order that we as humans should follow Him, thus becoming also hearers of His Father’s truth even as He had done.  Should this be our goal, giving over our self in order to learn of Him or from His Holy Spirit? Jesus said:

John 5:30  I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. (KJV)

Jesus said; “For I have not spoken on my own authority (John 12:49a).  On whose authority do we speak?

If we speak God’s word lead by His Holy Spirit will we not also be persecuted in some ways by this world?  

If I tell you that you will not see the Great Tribulation that is coming because the Rapture must proceed it; then what is my authority for saying that?  Here is what I must tell you if I am teaching the doctrine of a pre-Trib Rapture:

-The Church is not mentioned in chapters 4 through 19 of Revelation.  So this raises hard to answer questions:  

  • just where are the Tribulation Saints located when the New Jerusalem is Revealed to us as being the Bride, coming down out of Heaven?  And just where is Israel at this time? 
  • And why is this great group of believers who come out of Great Tribulation later seen ruling with Christ?   Revelation 20:4  Then I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. And [I saw] the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the mark on their foreheads and on their hands; and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. (NASB2020)

It is my very strong opinion that if I do not commit to believe the things that Jesus Himself taught; then I must have very clear teaching from the Epistles in order to add to what He stated or to take away from what He said or to even explain what He said.  So is it true that:

-The Great Tribulation is God’s Wrath that we are promised to be kept from?  Where is the Scriptural support for this in light of Ephesians chapter 2 revealing what it is that we are kept from?

-The New Covenant presented by Israel’s Messiah is apparently never ever to include Israel, as she is not to be part of the New Covenant Church?  Please someone explain to me how she is saved apart from her promised New Covenant, and the new heart that is promised both to her and to us as gentiles?

-Paul teaches that the day of the Lord is the time of the Rapture in 1 Thess. chapters 4 & 5., and because of that we are told to believe that the Tribulation is included in that day of the Lord, but there is one problem, because Paul in 2 Thess. 2 tells us that “that day” referencing (the day of the Lord) will not come unless the Antichrist is revealed who will set himself up in the Temple of God and proclaim himself to be God.  That is a major problem for a PreTribulation Rapture teaching. And because it’s a big problem it creates a lot of babble. And here is the kicker: if the day of the Lord does not begin until after the Tribulation; then what Paul has explained in 1 Thess. 4 concerning the Rapture makes it Post Tribulational and not Pre, as is taught.  This then aligns Paul’s teaching perfectly with Jesus’ own teaching of His coming as we see it in Mark 13 and Matthew 24. 

The Jewish Sanhedrin put Jesus to death, because they did not believe Him, man often puts Him to death in his own life because they do not believe Him or His words.   His words are often just too hard to tolerate.  So by what authority do we teach doctrine?  If it is our own authority or a particular church that grants authority, and not God’s word; then we are but false prophets. 

John 5:24  “Truly, truly, I say to you, the one who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life. (NASB2020)

Early believers were mostly Jewish, and they were a sect (the people of the way) within Judaism.  Hearing Jesus word to be Truth and believing what He told them about His relationship to The Father was His own teaching concerning the Salvation that He brought. We would be wise to also, even as He taught us: “count the cost”.  And pay attention to the coming call from Satan to deny Him, for Jesus had said: “If you deny me, I will deny you before my Father in Heaven.”
