What we need to understand is that we Christians, and more especially we conservative believers in Christ are being set up for ridicule and for suppression of any message that we may wish to convey. Most of the world, in a coming day, which is likely coming soon, will not and mostly likely will not be able to receive the truth. Why? – the why is very important. Scripture not only tells why, God will eventually reject any disobedient people group and then finally He will reject a disobedient world system, and Scripture has repeatedly recorded this precedent for our understanding. It occurs in many places with the messages from the prophets. Consider
Jeremiah 13:23 and the account of Israel of that day:
13:23 But there is little hope for you ever doing good, you who are so accustomed to doing evil. Can an Ethiopian change the color of his skin? Can a leopard remove its spots? 24 “The Lord says, ‘That is why I will scatter your people like chaff that is blown away by a desert wind. (NET)
If this is what God has done with a people that He has chosen to be His own; then what will He do with a world gone mad, who never knew Him; one which has denied His sacrifice for their sin?
Let’s get His own answer:
2 Thessalonians 2:10 and with every kind of evil deception directed against those who are perishing, because they found no place in their hearts for the truth so as to be saved. 11 Consequently God sends on them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false. (NET)
But a people which has gone mad by ignoring God’s truth will not only hate God but will hate what are His own people. Going back to Jesus day here: It was Jesus, who was rejected and crucified by those, who were perishing from Israel; but following His being eliminated (at least that’s what they thought), then it was His people who were being burned at the stake in the Coliseum – lighting it up at night, and it was His people, who were hiding in the catacombs below Rome; being fed to lions, and yes also crucified.
We need to know that when the world is given over to a reprobate mind, then we will be the subject of Satanic persecution by this world. This will be the result of a world given over to Satan. The Jews themselves being rejected by God because of their rejection of Him; then became the persecutors of His Son, and later of His followers.
We already know that conservatives are being labeled as Christian nationalists, and that that connotation to the world around us means that we are the evil in the world. The left hates MAGA. The present division in America is over good vs evil. The Bible tells us that this will eventually be the dividing point for mankind. Read Isa. Chapter 5, and within it you will learn what a righteous God will do with an unrighteous people when He judges them. And His judgment against evil doesn’t seem to come until after what He often allows Satan’s people to do to His own. For, it is through them that so often is poured out wrath on God’s own people. The pouring out of such is allowed by God because of the president already set by Him, revealing the way in which He uses the enemies of His people to bring about a purging within His own flock. God loves us, but because of that love He will chastise us. And if we know that there are times that we need chastising; then certainly He does also.

I know that this is not the popular view of our personal relationship with God or certainly not with His end times teaching, but this has been God’s way throughout Scripture. We need to get our house in order, because God will do it for us if we do not. But even if our house is in order this will not stop the persecution of God’s people by Satan and a world that follows him. The disciples were to teach us not just in word, but in deeds. But, so far as we know all but John the Apostle died for their faith, and John was boiled in oil, but did not die of this terrible injustice, which was the world’s (not God’s) persecution of him. So are we to learn nothing from this pattern?
There was a time when Billy Graham posed the question: “if God does not Judge America, would He not need to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah?” Given Grahams own thinking; then would it not be appropriate to think that if God were to Rapture a Church away from this pattern of judgment that seems Scriptural, without the modern day Church ever having seen it for themselves; then would He not then need to apologize to His own people who were used throughout the generations to establish this pattern? There are believers being beheaded, being burned out and burned up inside churches in Africa and areas of the Middle East. There are believers in the UK, who are being prosecuted for hate crimes because they speak out against Islamic incompatibilities with the west. Here in The US we are already seeing signs of the same. The trend can be thwarted, but should we the Church fail to come together and stand for righteousness there will be not just some persecution but actual Judgment released by God first allowing it against His people and finally against this world when He returns.
Even so come Lord Jesus.
