Deuteronomy 30:1 All these blessings and curses I have spoken about will happen to you. Take them to heart when you are among all the nations where the LORD your God will scatter you. (GOD’S WORD)
If you were to read and absorb God’s Word to Israel; then you would know where it is that you might reside on God’s time clock. God gave Israel her instruction; then He told her what was going to happen to her. He knew that it would take not the blood of bulls, goats and sheep to bring to her a heart circumcision.
Deuteronomy 30:4 Even if you are scattered to the most distant country in the world, the LORD your God will gather you and bring you back from there. 5 The LORD your God will bring you to the land your ancestors owned. You will take possession of it, and the LORD will make you more prosperous and numerous than your ancestors were. (GOD’S WORD)
God’s promise to Israel was to return them to the Land. He would do this because He knew that they would not do it without help. Never forget God knows us. He knows our end even from our beginning. He knew all that He must do with His intervention onto the stage of History. He knew that He must send Messiah to them and to us, whom He called to be one with them. He knew that for them to return on their own they would need a reason, and because most of Israel had rejected their Messiah, they would be subject to persecution.
So God has intervened by allowing Satan’s hatred of the unsaved Israelites to assist in returning them. He has forced the issue. The hatred of the world for Israel has driven them to their land. And the hatred continues, and it will continue until her duress takes her to a place of refuge, but even then only for only temporary safety.
Israel (the nation) must in these future days come to a place where she can receive from God a new heart (A circumcision of heart) and join her brethren in her Messiah.
Then there were the faithful of Israel (the remnant) along with the Gentiles, who have joined themselves to her Messiah. The Gentiles whoever have inherited the promises of God given for her: listen:
Deuteronomy 30:6 The LORD your God will circumcise your hearts and the hearts of your descendants. You will love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and you will live. 7 Then the LORD your God will put all these curses on your enemies, those who hate you and persecute you. 8 You will again obey the LORD and follow all his commands that I’m giving you today. 9 The LORD your God will give you many blessings in everything you do: You will have many children. Your animals will have many offspring. Your soil will produce many crops. The LORD will again delight in making you as prosperous as he made your ancestors. 10 He will do this if you obey him and follow his commands and laws that are written in this Book of Teachings and return to the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul. (GOD’S WORD)
These blessings have belonged to the Church (the people belonging to God in the Christ Israel’s Messiah). We have inherited her promises (see Eph 2.)
They will only come to Israel the Nation when she in the final throes of Tribulation calls on His name from her yet future duress. But in the interim these promises (Israel’s blessings) have seen their partial fulfillment in Christ’s Church. Think about this, that God has promised. If it were not for the Church (Messiah’s flock) these verses would never be fulfilled; for once the Nation herself returns and joins herself to her Messiah; then at that moment her enemies will all have been destroyed in the Lake of Fire. Jesus tells us this in Matthew 25; and Revelation 19 and 20 both also make this clear to us.
So what we now are expecting, having seen these promises in Deuteronomy mostly come to pass in the body of Messiah herself, are the following happenings:
Peter tells us that judgment begins with the household of God. There is a purging coming for both the present day scattered remnant from Israel (the Church) as well as for the regathered mostly unsaved within the nation Israel herself. She will also be purged and then grafted back into the sheep fold (The olive Tree).
Jesus told us of these things in Matthew 24 as He spoke of both a hatred against us and a falling away (vs. 9-10) He spoke further of the misleading brought by the false prophets, and He told of the lawlessness.
Verse 14 of Matthew 24 is already fulfilled.
So, we both await and we are seeing the persecution of Messiah’s scattered Church and of His Nation. We both await and we are seeing false prophecy. We await and we are seeing a falling away from Christ’s teachings in Scripture.
We await and we are seeing the Nation Israel being readied for her salvation.
Without the Bible the Word of God we would know none of this. Without God’s Spirit to help us discern our times we would have no wisdom in dealing with these matters. Much is yet to happen, before it will be said:
Revelation 19:7 “Let’s rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, because the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His bride has prepared herself.” (NASB2020)
“Even so come Lord Jesus”. For the preparation must come before we will see our bridegroom.
