This series of messages that Sherry has posted from Spurgeon has been good. Especially for us in these days of rising persecution of believers around the world. Believers in the first century had been programmed for persecution and even death. They understood the cost of being a child of God. Most of us, I fear are programmed today for the good life; yet there are many signs of evils rising. I know that what I’m about to say is overused, but I truly believe that we may be only one presidential election away from tyranny and debauchery in this land.

Evil has surfaced from the shadows, in my opinion, in our day in preparation for Tribulation. Tribulation when it comes to fruition will be Satan’s final move against God’s creation and His people. This if I’m near the target, is the time to be filled with the Spirit (the oil for your lamps), for the end of mankind’s age is near. Jp
