I don’t want to mislead anyone. So, understand, I love Jan and much of what she has done, but at the same time Dispensationalists are and have been “wolf crying” all of my life.  When Israel was reborn in 1948 on her promised land soil; the cry went out even stronger.

And even before that time it was being said that Christ’s Coming was imminent. And that this was the consistent message of the “true” church throughout  history.  But Why was it happening, that’s easy: at Israel’s national birth a biblical sign was posted.  I could not get out of church when a kid, without hearing that Jesus could return before I accepted Him, should I delay.  I was not being taught the fear and respect for God so much as the fear of Tribulation should I “not” walk the isle.

Instead of telling me that God was revealing to us that Jesus would come again following these signs taught in Scripture.  Signs of events which would lead to our need for endurance

And then His Coming is to set right what man and even many of the churches, as they proceeded to water down their faith, and find themselves to be deceived; thus  getting things partially or even totally wrong.  Even as these things progressed they with a pre-Trib understanding in their own way were potentially misleading others by crying wolf.  So even before this miracle of Israel’s rebirth there was the cry of wolf.  Schofield’s Bible notes, following after Darby, promoted the cry.

So today, the persecution of the church is under way in many countries where churches once dotted the countryside in those nations; and the Beast system continues to rise and even to be fostered by churches here in America.  All of the deception within the church is only evidence of the falling away from truth and faith which Jesus Himself had prophesied (another sign).  I’m here to tell you that even the “wolf calling” has served to deaden the spirit within many Christians.

Jan and those crying “wolf” along side her are actually partly responsible for some of the criticism coming against the likely soon coming of our Lord.  So in another way what the wolf crying has done can be good. But only if believers were driven to search for truth. Giving consideration to a possibility that Jesus Coming is only taught to be following the signs.   The beginning of the signs were telling us to awaken and look up.  Watch the signs for we the faithful must endurer in the faith sustained by His Word, and must not be asleep as is the world, and as are the churches joining in worldly things, concerning the Day of The Lord’s coming.

What Jan’s ministry has done right is to continue watching for the signs as they are ripening.  But the “wolf crying” has been responsible for making the blessed hope for all Christians, to be only for those, who are alive and remain at the time of Jesus coming.  But isn’t it to be made true for the dying as well, and all are promised resurrection.  For in Scripture it is said that men will die for Christ.  The wolf cryers have made the rapture following the resurrection to be more important to the believer than the resurrection itself, which is the promise that extends to all believers this blessed hope.

So Jan and OliveTree ministries are right to report on the fulfillment of the signs; but at the same time: their having for over a long period of time continually cried wolf, has contributed to that dampened spirit among many church goers, for it has been somewhat deceptive in its cry’s. There was the cry before its time, yet, it was not yet His time for coming.  They are making imminent what can only be imminent as the signs continue to be fulfilled.  And they are being fulfilled: the signs include deceptive thinking within the church in many areas including those concerning end times teachings.  Teachings that veer away from the message within the Scriptures.  These many divergent teachings within the church are all over the place today.  Why?  I believe it is simply because both preachers and prophets do not confirm or support their messages with the Word of God itself.

God knew that these deceptions would occur and that they would be embraced. He is the only God who is proving Himself as such.  And this because He knows the end from the beginning, and so was the only One able to make prophecy an extremely important part of His gospel to us.

You as a believer are right to know the signs that are taking place around us. You are right to follow The Word as Jesus instructed.  To study it as Paul instructed.  And to acknowledge its truth as Jesus told us we would, when He would send the Holy Spirit to lead us into all truth.  Having been led is not to do the leading.  In other words we are continually being informed or taught.  We cannot get the cart before the horse, and crying wolf is just that.  There is a time when His coming will be imminent; in the meantime; follow Him who is the word. study His word; be lead by His sent teacher the Holy Spirit.

Be willing to endure even though these things be coming, and pray even so come quickly Lord Jesus.  The coming of the Lord and the Day of the Lord are one event. Paul makes them one in his Thessalonians writings. (1 Thess. 5 & 2 Thess. 2. And love the brethren as Jesus loves you. And Read OliveTree’s articles. Concerning the signs they get it.
