There is only one hour that is shown to be approaching in Scripture for which the people of God are called or commanded to separate themselves in order to escape what that hour is bringing.
Revelation 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. (KJV)
This command is given at a time when the preparations for Christ to come are over, and so time is closing in on this final hour to come just before Messiah will actually set foot on this earth.
Before this hour comes the trial of His bride is over.
James 1:12 Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which [the Lord] has promised to those who love Him (NASB1995)
Now the final trial for those dwelling on the earth will begin, as it is described in the last chapters of Revelation, portraying Tribulations end. As we shall see during this hour some will make war against the Lamb, which will be their final works upon earth.
Revelation 17:14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful. (KJV)
In this verse we see that the Lord’s coming, which is seen in chapter 19, will bring this final hour to a conclusion, but only after these ten kings and the beast have come together to make war on the lamb. This war is known as the battle of Armageddon in chapter 16. These kings we are told are ten, who receive power for this very hour, and they will give their power to the beast, and then all, who come against Him, will be destroyed by the Lamb. Andthentheendshallcome:
Those who did not go up to this battle will observe the consequences of it
Revelation 18:19 And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas, that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate. (KJV)
Those of mankind who are left standing on this earth at the end of this hour, following this battle, are found, as we see here, to be in mourning. And they will soon be gathered up in the sheep and goat judgment.
Somewhere between the call for God’s people to come out from among them and the beginning of this final hour there was the first resurrection and the Rapture of the Bride.
Revelation 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. (KJV)
This entire battle, surrounding Christ’s coming, is being fought over Israel, and it will be amid the darkness predicted to come following the Tribulation of those days. Whether this darkness is brought on by the battle itself, or it is (more likely) a miracle from God Himself, is never really stated in the Word. But what is clear is the fact that darkness does cover the earth in those days following the Tribulation.
Mark 13:24 But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, (KJV)
This is the final hour set as to it’s time in the Word to try those who dwell upon the earth.
Revelation 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. 11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. (KJV)
The bride will exit before this final hour, which will determine the future destiny of those, who dwell upon the earth, in that hour. At the end of this hour there is nothing left but the carrying out of God’s judgments of all men. The trials surrounding mankind are then over. This hour concludes the final trial which is stated to take place before our Lord returns.
Revelation 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. (KJV)
Jesus represents everything about truth telling. His promise to come quickly must take into account the fact that everything else that He told us that would come before that event, not only would but must come first. His promise to come to reward every man makes that truth very clear. How can that happen except every man be present for first the judgment, which will take place in that hour; and the following judgments as outlined in God’s sequence of time — many of these occurring during the millennium, or over the 1000 years of His reign.
Matthew 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. (KJV)
This is why the scriptures are clear and are in unity when speaking of end time events, for were they not, then how easily we would be deceived.
