Relationship with our world has changed. It appears that man will be told more and more of what we can and cannot do. Governments are realizing just how easy it is to control the sheep with fear. You as a believer are already being seen as a rebel, as one who opposes science, and authority. Freedom is being redefined. You will see the day when the norm will be no close interaction. Is any of this really possible? It will happen one day, possibly sooner than you think. Is it already begun?
When Christians refuse to bow down to Cesar persecution will increase. So who are we really in these times?
for we walk by faith, not by sight— we are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord. Therefore we also have as our ambition, whether at home or absent, to be pleasing to Him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.
2 Corinthians 5:7-10 NASB
How is a believer to walk during this time of change. when an unseen enemy, will lead us to a time of real enemies? Have you not already experienced this place that we are now in. Our main enemy has always been an unseen one, but a real one. Satan’s ways have not changed. He has merely been allowed to release a demonic force on this world. What has that to do with you my brothers and sisters in Christ? Things have not changed. Not one sparrow has fallen that our God has not known it, and allowed it.
Sheep follow their shepherds. We follow Christ. The world follows its leaders. Today either deception or fear reigns in the hearts of the leaders and both are easily passed to the sheep. Where Two months ago there was no fear of the real unseen enemy faced by this world, and there was no honoring of God by this world, yet today there is a real fear of just one of Satans now exposed yet still unseen Forces. But there is a greater fear that things have changed. It is an opening for the gospel. How? —
Because you walk by faith not by sight if truly cherish that you are in Christ Jesus; then you know that for you it is better to be with the Lord than here as a stranger and a sojourner. But you must also know your calling as Paul says in these verses. It is to please your Lord while here. Is it pleasing to Him to see us walk in fear of the enemy along with this world? Jesus says:
Revelation 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. (KJV)
Can Satan have you killed? Not without passing through Our God and savior. Should God allow it, it is far better to be with the Lord, as Paul says: we walk in faith because there is a judgment coming. Jesus says that in that day, the day of His coming:
Revelation 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. (KJV)
Your work proceeds from a walk of faith and obedience. Paul speaks of both in these verses.
Fear not for He is with us so long as He keeps us individually on this earth, even until the end of the age His command for you is to present His gospel, his truth to a lost and fearful world. To a world that will become even more fearful as we see that day coming. You are His ambassador. You are the reflection of Him on this earth. In Him you show boldness and confidence in love. In Him you represent the authority that comes from the truth you hold now in your hands, but later possibly only in your heart. He is writing His laws there, and He the very word of God dwells there.
Pray and prepare for your part in revival. And work as there is no tomorrow,
not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near. Hebrews 10:25 NASB
Some of us will see the day drawing near. We will not know the exact day nor hour — and then the end shall come. Even so come Lord Jesus.
