I’m going to challenge your thinking, and ask your opinion concerning what I’m about to share. As of today Sunday Mar 28, in the United States we have as can be seen below 132,637 confirmed cases of the Coronavirus in this nation. New York and New Jersey have over half of these cases.
If we do some simple math we can begin to see why I have raised the question in the title to this article. So let’s do that. If we take the number of cases 132,637 and divide them by just the population of New York City which as of 2017 is 8,623,000 we find that in all of the US there are 1.54% of New York cities population infected. So across the entire country there are 4/1000’s of 1% infected. And approximately 1% of those may actually die. So will the actual deaths be worse than the flu?
We of course have the greater number of the cases because we are doing increased testing in greater quantities than the rest of the world as a whole.
Now consider that the whole world is on some sort of shut down. So basically fear not numbers of deaths has driven this shut down. And the fear is driven by the Media. Any time day or night that you tune into the news it is Coronavirus driven.
Shelves in Walmart and the local grocers are shown empty leading to more fear and more empty shelves. Even in the county of Manatee in Florida where Ellen and I live, there are only 30 cases and 1 death to date. Yet, shelves are emptying of many items.

Why is this happening? — The world has another more diabolical sickness. It is called sin, and it is manifesting itself as a total opposition to anything that is godly or of God. It has always been God’s desire to save mankind, but even God has His limits. Recently we saw in another blog post, where God tell Moses that He would destroy Israel, and we saw Moses plead for Israel. There will come a day when even the men of God will no longer plead for this world, but the preachers and the prophets will through down the gauntlet — seek God or die in His coming wrath. God says in His word:
If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:13-14 KJV
Two questions we might ask concerning our time and this verse. What is Gods role in this? Is this about His people or a world gone mad? This virus is not just among His people.
A third question I am asking — is this crisis really a crisis or the take down of an American President? If so, is God ready to give up on this mostly Gentile world and wrap things up? You might not want to consider any of this, but if you are a believer you know that one day God will perform His final act of this age on a world that will have had every opportunity to believe but would not.
Matthew 24:9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. 10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. (KJV)
Take down of an american president? There is precedent for that and it doesn’t involve a pandemic Brother.
Perhaps this lesson is for those who support the little orange man?
Perhaps, it’s just a virus that has gotten out of control. I’m thinking it’s the latter.
It’s not the first time, it’s not the worst and it will probably happen again in some other form.
Instead of pushing conspiracies that taint your credibility, perhaps you should get more informed.
I keep seeing christians post the stupidest garbage on this covid thing. Israel had a cure 4 weeks ago or so I read on a christian blog which in truth was false.
Then the latest was that the little orange man prophesied that the pandemic would be over on easter, no shortage of goats jumping onto that bandwagon. Anyone with an ounce of common sense knew that wasn’t going to happen.
The orange buffoon will get re-elected because most religious people have no shame and they vote for their king.
You have nothing to worry about Jerry. Till then, be careful, wash your hands and avoid close contact with sick people. This is far more serious than you think and I’d rather see you throwing around conspiracy theories than dying from this virus.
Blessings

Stephen I surmise that you do not like Trump. But then I do not know who you would select to lead this nation. Jesus has not decided to come back yet, when He does He will be our king. Until then someone has to lead the world that man has messed up with his many gods. I know from other conversations that we have had that you don’t subscribe to the Bible as being all of it God’s word, but I do, and therefore I believe that God has every man’s days numbered; therefore no one will die of this virus before his or her time is up on God’s time clock, including me and you. It did not take Him by surprise. I actually heard what Trump stated concerning Easter, and it was not as you reported it. Not liking him can effect one’s credibility just like liking him can. We all need to understand that bias is with each of us in this journey. But I as much as possible fix my bias on scriptures principles. This is why I even love you Stephen. Thanks for commenting.

I don’t care much for Biden either. In a country with 300 million people, you’d think there would be better candidates.
Much like yourself Jerry, I really don’t care wether people think I’m credible or not.
I can assure you that wether I like the orange buffoon or not has no bearing on my salvation. He just another psychopath in a long line of presidential psychopaths.
You will eventually see what most people all ready know.
Scripture principles are subjective Jerry, I know this to be true from watching you and other christian bloggers debate the scripture principles.
I’m just as guilty as any other professing christian at having my biases.
Trump is a grifter and God will expose him for who he is, in turn, those who stuck up for him and worshiped him will either have to repent or continue to have no shame.
It’s too bad he had to borrow all that money to make the economy look good, now he’ll go down as the president who added the most amount of debt ever.
“ I think Easter Sunday and you’ll have packed churches all over our country, I think it would be a beautiful time. And it’s just about the timeline I think is right,” he said in an interview with Fox News anchor Bill Hemmer”
I think the orange buffoon is as credible as your book publisher Jerry.
Have a blessed day.
