Could it be that Jesus selected the very end of the book to inform us:
But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” Revelation 21:8 NASB
What is a liar? I said in my alarm, “ All men are liars.” Psalm 116:11 NASB
David is one of those men. But he has no fear of torment in the lake of fire. If you apply what he says in the balance of this Psalm he makes that clear. We are all liars, but men who are forgiven, who abide in Christ, who are not unbelieving , lose their propensity to sin. They are new creatures in Christ. They have been given the power to become sons of God. And they can say along with David “and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Today’s society thinks nothing of their lies, and most of them are born in false witness against their perceived enemies in that society. Believers in Christ are becoming those enemies. And this is coming from the top down, as well as from the bottom up. Those who are to be examples are examples, but they are very poor ones.
This is what has happened throughout history in societies, and nations, who forget God, and spurn His Son. Truth is important to God. Those who believe in God are spurned. It is good to know that our times are not unknown to our God.
Seems like an odd post coming from a guy who supports trump. This post doesn’t reflect well on either of you Jerry. It’s extremely ironic and hypocritical on your part. Make sure to apply this post to yourself and those who you support because you become painted with that same brush.
I trust you’re doing well.
Blessings
