It is certain to come. The Scripture requires it. Is it here now? Is there worse to come?

As I ponder what is happening in the land of the brave and the home of the free, I can’t help but wonder are we in these days about which scripture speaks, when God lifts restraint from the already free and allows them even more bravery in the freedom of their minds toward evil. And if this is the case what could we expect?

Men in this country, and in the western world have had more chance than most of those who preceded our time, and yet they do not choose Him.

In the last days perilous times will come.

2 Timothy 3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, (KJV)

These are the days of Elijah. The false prophets of Baal are overrunning the land.

2 Peter 3:5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: (KJV)

They are fools, thinking that they have the moral high ground. Thinking that they themselves are responsible for the creation.

They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service. John 16:2 KJV

These are things that are definitely happening in our world. China, Africa and the Mid East are persecuting believers. Some are being put to death. Some have recanted their faith. In this country as we would expect we are behind in these things, but the mind set is here. Is it spreading?Of course it is, we see the evidence every day. Something is happening to the minds of the earth’s citizen without Christ. His freedom has come to the point of lawlessness. If the battle is for the mind, then the people are choosing another god, one who they love as much as we love Jesus, and our heavenly Father.

So if this is true now, what is to come?

And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Revelation 12:17

And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Revelation 12:10-11 KJV

Our love for Christ will be tested. It is being tested even today. Should we choose to suffer for Christ rather than to deny Him, that will only come about because He abides in us, and because we in Him are empowered to do so. We are nothing without Him.

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: (KJV)
