There is a contradiction within Terry’s thinking in this post. On one hand he has pointed out the serious moral decline of our nation and the world. A decline that can only be subverted he states by our following the directive of 2 Chronicles 7:14, which calls for a humility on the part of believers in order that God would heal our land. This on the other hand is stacked up against what apparently will happen if we don’t humble ourselves and pray, for then we will continue what is trending. And what is trending of course in the church will also continue its trend, should we not humble ourselves and pray.
The implication in this piece, then, must be that God will be so pleased with us for not humbling ourselves and praying, that He well Rapture us, and give the world over to the Antichrist. Terry States:
“There is time to turn things around if the people who truly name the name of Christ will follow the godly directive of 2 Chronicles 7:14. Sad to say—to put it in terms the groupies of godlessness will understand–the trending is in the opposite direction.
Let’s continue to do our Christian duty in carrying out the Great Commission. Let us also vote the right way to the best of our ability. But, at the same time, let’s keep looking for the glorious appearing of our “blessed hope” (Titus 2:13).”
Did you get what I’m saying about what he is saying? If we humble ourselves and pray Its not to late — God will turn this trend around, but otherwise here is what Terry states will happen:
“Antichrist, according to Revelation chapter 13, will be literally worshiped by the whole world. Those who don’t worship him will have their heads lopped off and worse. His numbers of followers will put Miss Katy’s numbers in the category of the infinitesimal by comparison.”
So, I have reblogged Terry’s post for your full consideration. But again the teaching here is that the rapture is implied to take place if we don’t humble ourselves and pray. And the reason that it must is because all the world will either worship Antichrist or die at his hand.
If you are able to see it; the teaching here is convoluted. Rapture will occur because we do not obey 2 Chronicles; therefore all men will die either for worshiping Antichrist or at the hand of Antichrist because they are resisting his worship in Jesus name, and given that understanding, “if true”, no one person will be left upon the earth once Christ completes God’s wrath as It is poured out with His return. This scenario although-sometimes used by dispensationalists, actually contradicts what they otherwise teach, which is that those saved during Tribulation will come out of Tribulation to be ruled over by Christ and His bride never having yet tasted death. But with what is stated here by Terry possibly to put down the opposing post-Trib view actually is also putting down what they themselves teach. So although what Terry says here is partial truth, it really is not all the truth. The facts presented in scripture tell us that even if every Gentile and Jewish believer who manifest during Tribulation as a believer in Christ are killed during Tribulation, still Israel is not yet saved until post-Tribulation, when they call on Christ for that salvation. For a total understanding of the timing of Israel’s salvation as the Remnant of the Nation see the post on this site from Sept 25, 2017, titled: Messiah Stains His Garment. Isaiah 63
Antichrist, the coming beast of Revelation chapter 13, will be the most attractive, charismatic personality ever to step foot on the planet. He will have a following that defies imagination. His magnetic personality and, no doubt, striking appearance, will be the antithesis of Jesus Christ in every way when he “magnifies” himself, as the prophet Daniel foretold.
Jesus was meek. He came as a lamb. The Bible tells us that He had no outstanding physical features or characteristics that would set Him apart from the rest of humanity. The exceptions were when He was on the Mount of Transfiguration when He was said to shine like the sun, and when He was said to be the most “marred” of all men at the time of His crucifixion.
Antichrist, that man of sin, will have, literally, a worldwide, totally devoted following.
I’m a “back number,” as Dr. Vernon McGee used to…
