After Finnish parliamentarian Päivi Räsänen was found guilty of hate speech by the Supreme Court of Finland, Lathan Watts writes that vaguely worded “hate speech” laws are being used to criminalize peaceful religious expression. 

Not only are Western Democracies beginning to criminalize Christian speech as “hate speech”, but there also may be a sinister movement to falsify revival in some western nations.

“YouGov has acknowledged that research suggesting a rise in church attendance among young people in parts of the United Kingdom, which the Bible Society referred to as a ‘quiet revival,’ has been found unreliable.”

Concerning the United States, Barna’s recent published survey has raised an important point concerning the revival within the U.S., stating that only 4% of respondents to that survey, which was focused on the beliefs of new Christian’s, has revealed that a belief in the fundamentals of the Christian faith are missing.  Mainly a belief that Jesus is the only way to obtain salvation and thus entrance into the heavenly realm. 

These things all point to a decline in the way the Christianized part of the world is progressing.  These things taken together may suggest that our world is being set up for what we see in Scripture as an end time persecution of fundamental Christianity.  The Jews being a very small target for the enemy, have been the main focus until recent decades of persecution happening in our lifetime.  

However we should suspect that with the rise in the western world of Islam, that we as believers in The Christ, who is Israel’s Messiah are also on Satan’s radar.  Technology is certainly making all this possible as it moves into the minds of people open to Satan’s influence.  I could of course give many many more evidences of Christian’s being on Satan’s radar, but more evidence is not needed to make the case for the changes in thinking occurring in our world toward us as believers in Christ. 

Revelation is clear on one point. Believers in Jesus will, in the midst of the Great Tribulation, overcome Satan and his minions with the word of their testimony and with the blood of the Lamb.  We do understand that many will die.  That in fact is already happening in many parts of our world and it will only increase as the time for Christs appearing becomes closer.  In fact, our persecution and even the falling away from truth that is occurring are both signs of Jesus Coming. 

An ignorance concerning what is coming for the bride will contribute to these conditions. Christians will become a pariah because of what is and will be occurring as false prophecy.
