To think that we, knowing the facts concerning God’s wrath and that we would not warn those presently walking directly toward this Wrath, may be a grave oversight on our part. Men walk this earth unconcerned with both their actions and their inactions regarding God’s Wrath. Salvation is about escaping this Wrath. We know that. Therefore, it would be an oversight on our part to think that it would escape God’s knowledge to abide any thinking that our own knowledge of this requires no responsible action on our part, which might be attached to that knowledge. For in overlooking our duty to warn these others of their actions our inactions, must be, one would think, also very offensive to God.
Yet, it is within the church that we have those who refuse not only to be warning those outside of the family of God (the lost), but they criticize others (in the body) in their own attempts at doing so. I don’t know just how God will judge man’s inactions or their criticisms concerning others actions, but knowing that His wrath is coming we surely must warn all concerned, about any of. Their actions which are ignoring this Wrath.
God’s love which we also are to spread will not cover His wrath unless Christ’s blood is applied to one’s sin’s. If we sin as believers, we have an advocate with the Father.
This Spurgeon message should open our eyes to the seriousness of this subject. Read it. It’s not long.
