But before I name him and recommend his work to you, I needed to ask him a question that still puzzles me.  I share this with you now, because,  you who read my posts, I know to be searchers of God’s truth. That does not mean that you totally agree with me, but that you are seekers from scripture of God’s answers to your questions.  So I sent this e-mail inquiry to him.  Also read the Paragraph to you following the email. 

“You have certainly added to my thinking.  I like to think I’m teachable. I was raised on Dispensational theology, and believed It until I couldn’t.  

Your reason for not wanting to take sides on the Rapture is understandable, but are you not perhaps kidding yourself, because you have already put down the best argument that Dispensationalists had presented: that of the an imminent return?

I’m not here to challenge you re: that, but to ask if Mystery Babylon is Iran after its conquests of other Arab nations as is your understanding; just how will that configuration of nations align with the fact that Mystery Babylon is recorded as a “city” surrounded by water?  Up until now I’ve had to discount Iraq and even Ancient Babylon because of this description. Yet I’ve not been totally satisfied with my own and many others “conclusion” that it refers to the United States.  There are many reasons why I can fit the U.S. into the prophecy. Mainly the deep seated and deceptive nature including Satanic involvement with our government entity, and our predominant position effecting world economics. I think that we are finding that the CIA’s involvement in the world is likely completely manipulated deception.  But the “city” point of this Revelation prophecy has always stumped me. 

I’ll be interested in learning if you have come any closer to solving this part of the prophetic puzzle?  If you have I will definitely read and consider and recommend your message.”

You will notice that I’m not revealing to you just who this is.  Not yet, not until I’m satisfied that his work is worthy of my own and your further review and consideration.  So why am I sharing this on my blog?  It’s to let you know that I still have questions, some even on answers on which I have taken a position concerning. In this case “Mystery Babylon”.  I will let you know the response if any that I receive.  And if we should be considering Iran for this unenviable position in Biblical Prophecy.
