As a nation and world, God is the sole judge of morality.  The church leaders are His vehicle for its promotion in the Western world; the Bible is the source.  The governments of nations are the guardians of their nations own brand of morality whatever that turns out to be.  In the western world we are to follow God’s instructions for us to pray for the leaders of our Governments that His morality and justice will prevail.

Lately, in our lifetimes morality and justice have both taken rather large hits.  Governments will not sustain either morality or Justice without a praying moral people.  People will not pray for governments without the Church first standing for the morality of the Scriptures.  So what are the moral issues of our day?  Are they different than what is taught in Scripture?

The Church today is broadcasting  two basic truths. In many cases they are the total basis of morality, and the essence of all truth. But can we ignore all else stating it to be unimportant to God.  Teachers teach and believe in the love of God and His forgiveness of sin.  It matters not to most what sin is for its all forgiven. It’s not to be repented of, because we don’t even know what all we may have done to offend God.  So sins are  not to be mentioned.  It only matters that we love each other, no matter how vile we are; because we are to love even our enemies.  Easy believism is the mantra.

So we are becoming today as the Church not a lot different than the Sanhedrin of Jesus day, with some exceptions, of course, even as there were exceptions among the Sanhedrin. How do I know this?  Because Jesus, stated it.  “You traverse land and sea to make one convert and when you have done so, you make them twice as much a child of hell as you are.  Matt. 23:15.

Isn’t this the same Jesus stating this, who is quoted for the theology of love.  So, who are the children of Hell.  Are they maybe those, who fail to remove the log of sin from their own lives before they help you extract your own sin.  They are according to Jesus hypocrites. This is what Jesus called them in Matthew 23:15.

The Apostle Paul who taught us to walk not in the flesh but in the Spirit, told us exactly what the deeds of the flesh are in Galatians 5.  And he told us plainly that: “…they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.”

If the hypocrite to whom Jesus speaks will tell their convert that Jesus made you and loves you just the way you are; then why did Jesus still think it necessary to die on a cruel Roman cross, after supposedly delivering that love message, on which many of today’s preachers base their theology;?   If Jesus made you to be a sinner and loves you just the way you are to include your sin; then why did He need to die if it was not to provide you with the power to overcome your sin.   Why does He call on you to be an overcomer,  if His death did not provide the believer with His power to become that overcomer?

Jesus died for our sin, once for all our sin, that you and I might live without the power that sin held over us.  And if we do fall and sin we have an advocate with The Father, and He is faithful to forgive us of our sin.

It’s interesting to me that I had written this post when the attack from a young man began in the comments section of yesterday’s post. He obviously was troubled by any support for Trump. He unfortunately is also blinded by his hatred, and though he could be right that the article that i shared is hard to prove. I have yet to find any reporting of it, but still his approach is foreign to biblical Christianity. Pray for him.
