- What I have to state in this post will be considered by some to be disrespectful. It will be thought so mostly by progressive Christian’s, who will believe the things that Budde teaches. So, before I make some of you mad to the point of indignation; let me go to Jesus for some understanding.
- Matthew 16:22 Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee. 23 But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men. (KJV)
- Peter was bound up in his own emotions over what Jesus was outlining as a necessary truth for the salvation of man. Peter was not yet born of the Spirit. If we consider the basic differences between Budde’s progressive liberal understanding of Scripture, which is her taking a mixture of man’s wisdom and her own emotional twisting of God’s word. Budde, is really unhappy with God’s moral laws; and she takes it out on Trump. And then if we consider Trump’s if nothing else is a believer in the constitution and freedom. Most believers saw through her emotional appeal with no regard for the Bible as her foundation. She was true to her beliefs, but disrespectful to the truth’s of Scripture concerning the evils involved in our day, just as what an untaught emotional Peter had been in his rebuke of the truth that Jesus was presenting. And no I’m not saying that Trump is equal to or even representative of Jesus. I’m not even stating that he is anymore saved than she is, and certainly not in the eyes of progressives. But his position allows him to judge the truth between right and wrongs being done to children and to our country both at the border and through the gender confusion.
- Budde like Peter has not yet learned Jesus’ real purpose for coming to earth in the first place. Budde however is a teacher a pastor of men, yet is not a respecter of God’s word or of it’s authority, nor is she impressed with Trump’s or God’s indignation based on His word concerning what Scripture reveals to be the evil in our world. Trump at least sees evil for what it is. Budde has been given her authority not from God, but from man. To a believer in the inspiration and inerrancy of Scripture, she represents merely another opposition voice to everything that this nation once stood for. Trump stands closer to upholding biblical truth than all the progressives put together. Budde presents as a religious leader; but to the confessional Christian she would be as the Sanhedrin, who for the most part Jesus opposed with much the same speech as He did with Peter.
- John 8:43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.
- John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. (KJV)
- Just what lusts could the devil be involved with today. Could it be the killing of babies; the rape of babies and young girls; the mutilation of children sexually? The trafficking of these little ones leads to all of this and then there are the lies told about what is and isn’t happening. Could it be men in women’s bathrooms?
- “Trump is no Jesus”, and Budde is, in fact, no follower of Jesus. You cannot be a follower of Jesus and at the same time not believe that He is the Word of God made flesh who dwelt among us. He is that word even to include the Scriptures which she denies to be authoritative for all men of our day. She does not place Jesus’ (God’s) word above other man made faiths, which she gives an equal billing along side God’s only begotten Son Jesus the Christ in salvation. This is the understanding of a universalist salvation. Here is a quote from yesterdays article: “Budde tends to emphasize a universalist perspective on salvation, focusing on God’s love and inclusivity rather than the exclusivity of salvation through Jesus Christ.”
- The following is an additional quote from yesterdays article.
- “She frequently participates in interfaith initiatives and promotes the idea that all religions contain truths that can contribute to the common good.
- Confessional Christianity teaches that while Christians are called to love their neighbors and engage respectfully with people of other faiths, salvation is found exclusively through Jesus Christ (John 14:6; Acts 4:12). The Westminster Confession of Faith asserts that the church’s primary mission is to proclaim the uniqueness of Christ and the gospel message. Reformed theology warns against compromising the exclusivity of the gospel in the pursuit of interfaith harmony or social cooperation.”
- I go a step further and say God tells us to have no other god’s before us.
- Budde therefore in the eyes of scripture as presented by Jesus and the Disciples does not yet qualify as a born again Christian. She is a Christian in name only. As to Trump’s being a Christian, the jury is still out on that as well. But my observation is that he is much closer to the born again experience than is she. His stand may be seen as being much closer to the Pharacees, of whom Jesus says to His listener: Do as they say not as they do. Trump is much closer to doing the right thing with his policies as President and with their enactment in order to protect the innocent from the evils encroaching upon them; these actions are not representative of what he has sometimes done in his past with his own personal life. But, we are all sinners needing God’s provision for salvation. What the conventional Christian should be looking for in both of these individuals would be a public repentance from their past sins, as well as to a turning from those to Christ as their personal savior.
- And for those thinking that Biden is a born again Christian, you may want to think again. There are those adhering to confessionalist views within Catholicism who would refuse Biden communion. Truth is always central to the determination of faith. Love is a necessary companion, but ones love does not prove one’s faith in the finished work of Christ. Actually, we can love the Devil, we can love the world, we can love our sin, we can love our neighbor as ourselves, but the truth is that love alone for even good things without turning from this world and back to God in acceptance of His offered Son’s payment is all in vain. For our righteousness (our good works) are as filthy rags before Him.
- The new covenant that Jesus presented to us when accepted by us provides for us a new heart, and His Spirit is established in us and He begins to write His laws upon our hearts. Without accepting that Jesus is the only provision presented us by the Godhead for our salvation, then Budde is just another false prophet in an entire line of false prophets, who have gone before her.
- What is Trump? He is the 47th President, and a man among only a very few men allowed by God to be placed in the position of President of the United States. What he does with that position will in large amount determine just how we are or are not blessed by God as a country. But we as Americans also share in that determination.
