Our God seeks from us justice and righteousness. These things are embodied in loving your neighbor as yourself.  You can’t be unjust to someone and claim that you love them.  This is why the Democrats are seen as engaging pure hypocrisy, when they claim the liberal form of Christianity, yet do what they are doing to their political opposition.

Genesis 18:19  “For I have chosen him, so that he may command his children and his household after him to keep the way of the LORD by doing righteousness and justice, so that the LORD may bring upon Abraham what He has spoken about him.” (NASB1995)

God began the calling out of His people with the revelation of His own desire for mankind. Yet, we learn throughout the scriptures that man is incapable of meeting God’s standard apart from God’s mercy and grace.  One can call themselves a Christian and make an attempt at living the Christian life, but it cant be done without the Holy Spirit actually working in your life, or stated another way: without actually being a Christian.

God, who sees the end from the beginning knew that in the end none of us would make it past His Judgment without encountering Christ on the cross: for in the end He could see that men will hide themselves in total fear from Him, who is the judge over all the earth.

Revelation 6:15  Then the kings of the earth and the great men and the commanders and the rich and the strong and every slave and free man hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains; 16  and they said to the mountains and to the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the presence of Him who sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb;  17  for the great day of their wrath has come, and who is able to stand?” (NASB1995)

One author has stated this concerning that coming day:

The fact is that our sin must be judged. God does not pull punches when letting us in on this fact.  Justice demands it.  God’s stated requirement for righteousness demands it.  We will either judge ourselves to be in need of Christ’s forgiveness offered by way of the cross, or we will face one day the wrath of this very Lamb of God, when He comes again to this earth.

Our judgment of ourselves is revealed in our repentance, which comes as we believe what Christ has done for us and we turn away from our sin and toward Him for a life more abundant.

Each of us has been hypocritical in past times in our lives when we were the god of our lives, but there is no greater hypocrisy than for a man or woman to claim to be a Christian and yet to dole out injustices and unrighteous acts upon one’s fellow man. For even to vote for such ones who seek for injustice Vs justice is an injustice against likely many someone’s. Only godly punishment can yield justice.  We are a nation of laws. May they form our justice not our vengeance.
