There are many types of storms in life. This one came with a warning, and is not resolved as I write. It’s called a Hurricane they say it will destroy our modest home. I say our because everything that we possess is only entrusted to us by our Father. I trust Him for it, and He trusts me with it.
So, I am waiting on Him to protect what is ours, and I am asking Him what I am to do in such cases as Hurricanes. My prayer has been that He calm it as He had our Lord Jesus do with Galilee. It’s eye I’m told is headed right for us. I cannot ask for Him to redirect it to bring harm to others. I can only ask for their protection as well. I pray that He would bring a calm to the Gulf of Mexico. If Satan is stirring this storm, then put it down Lord. If you have some purpose in it; then may it do it’s work in us.
Ellen is with me in Ohio, for our sons wedding. This is a very happy occasion. Our family is gathering. The sky’s are blue here, and I am not worried. I have given our future for all of eternity to my Father. He has this, as well as that future. He will provide throughout that future, because that is who He is.
If there are things that I need to change, He will direct those changes. I strive to be like Paul in my contentment. I am convinced that He will provide as He directs my path. Yet, I fervently as to you who are my friends and my brothers in Florida ask, that He who holds our future would assure that you be protected in your person and in the belongings that He has on loan to you.
Lord we thank and praise you in advance for being everything to us at all times. Thank you for saving us when we were facing a much worse enemy than a storm. In Jesus name we have committed and we recommit ourselves to You.
