Satan already has the world, but to pull believers away is a whole different skill set.  First he needs to convince one that they cannot really fall, or better yet, we can’t be wrong.  If you truly believe that you can’t be deceived as a believer; then you have already taken the bait. 

Why do we need the whole Armor of God, because we are in battle and we are exposed to being wounded. 

Brian is a true brother in the Lord. One who loves enough to tell me when he thinks me to be off base. This is a comment from his blog on this subject. 

Brian’s site is well worth your visit.  And he is right.  In fact, we have always, since the foundation of Jesus’ Church, been involved with this type of deception, but today there is something far more abrasive found within the lies.  They are becoming even more brazenly in opposition to truth. They confront us with downright untruths.  

An example of half truths in order to deceive is found in the reason or argument for acceptance of the LGBTQ lifestyle. 

We are told that it is un-Christ-like to not embrace the LGBTQ platform, which offers up God as the originator and creator of these lifestyles, making them no different than what we consider to be normal life as male and female, where yes, all are sinners. But, if sin is mentioned at all in their argument it is presented as their sin being no greater than our sin, and many have fallen for it. What is neglected in the argument is the fact that we as male or female Believers must rid ourselves through Christ’s gospel of what ever our sin might be.  If it be adultery or pornography or being gay or queer or any of the other elements of a sinful lifestyle we must be willing to confess these as sinful acts against God, which we then must ask and trust God to deliver us from. Any of these accepted unconfessed sins in the camp cause a separation between us and God.  They rob us of our freedom in Christ.

So what is the downright lie.  It is no less sin in your face than the acceptance of Adultery or Any form of gay lifestyle, but it is a total falsehood presented as truth.  There are many forms: false religion, as in Satanic worship; Stating an outright lie,  as in Kamala was not the Border Czar; Trump is a threat to Democracy but Biden / Harris are not;  There are many ways to the Father (or to God).  These are not half truths they are total lies. They should be easily discerned by people within the body, yet they are not.  What does that tell us about our times? 

Be not deceived God is not mocked.
