Yesterday morning now. It was about our mission as the Church. Taking the gospel to those in the world and making disciples. After pondering what had been stated in that message; these are my thoughts. Understand this message was to me and I’m thinking about myself as I relate this. I am aware that you likely did not hear this message.

The message stated a mission that very few in todays Church actually engage in doing or carrying out. The Church today finds itself focused on a building, surrounded by brothers and sisters in Christ. But going out into the world is not something that is actually on our plate. We may touch a life by inviting them to this building. We may touch a life by supporting foreign missions with our gifts and offerings. We may go on a mission trip once in a lifetime or on occasion. Those things are commendable, and they can even be sacrificial. One thing is certain there is no fruit bearing without Christ driving it.

But then my thoughts went further. We can today do things that in centuries past were not possible, because of the internet. But even then if Christ is not in it it has no meaning. Our prayer and purpose should always be that the Lord would glorify Himself through us.

We have the ability to send our own messages that God’s Spirit has laid upon our heart, as well as the messages of others, which God has used to touch us. By so doing; giving the message to Our Father in Heaven to be used to reach out to the very heart that He sees ripe to hear it and to be drawn to Him by it, even as we send it out. That is a way that we can be used to reach the lost of our world.

Romans 8:14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God. (NET)

It is our desire to win souls, and to see them led into all truth. That would be our purpose as His Church.
