I want to start by saying that I will be looking at Trump as Hitler in Tomorrows post. But, for today I’m thinking about the messages that Pastors over the years have been telling me. Many all through that earlier period of my life saw Jesus’ Coming as an imminent event. So early on, I sincerely expected Him each day; until I actually began reading the Bible. It was then that God begin to allow questions to come up as I read. I wondered why did men teach, as I was being told, that Jesus was coming at any moment and clearly these men believed that to be the case ever since the Apostles were writing on this subject. But my concern especially was why did they believe this when they knew that Jesus had prophesied the destruction of the Temple, which existed when the Apostles supposedly believed this imminent coming. And further considering that these preachers also knew that Israel’s city Jerusalem would also be destroyed according to Jesus back then; and that those Jews of that day would be distributed across the earth without a homeland, before they would then be regathered. So how then could these men who were led of the Holy Spirit have believed what these preachers believed and were telling me that the Apostles also believed?

God does not lie to His people, but His people do believe lies. I learned that in those days of the Apostles that Herod’s Temple had taken decades to build. I knew that in those days Israel had not yet been disbursed across the earth; Jerusalem had not yet been destroyed by the Romans. The Roman Empire had not yet divided from two Legs into ten toes. I knew these things so why did these preachers not understand these things?

I found that I needed to follow Paul’s admonition to study to show myself approved a workman who needeth not to be ashamed. And yet, I also understood that men, unlike most of us believers, did not even have this great opportunity as do we; because the Bible was unavailable throughout most of the last two days (2 Thousand years of history). During that time doctrines were imposed upon the people. Still, having the Scriptures today, those doctrines of men remain to impose themselves upon believers and to confuse their understanding, even making some to be totally blinded to truth.

Please understand me when I say: I don’t have all of the answers, but I’m convinced that God’s Holy Spirit does, and that He is leading any and all who believe and will follow into the only truth that matters. Understand that these doctrines of the end time, have little to do with the doctrine of salvation. But even concerning it, there is truth and there is falsehood. This is why Paul says make your calling and election sure. If you have not yet, met Jesus and been baptized by Him with His Holy Spirit from God; then seek Him while He can still be found. He is searching for men such as you of a contrite heart. Then learn of and from Him as you follow Him. Being saved has a beginning place in Christ; it has a road to follow keeping us in Christ. It has a hope to cling to: our future resurrection or Rapture to be with Christ. We are disciples ever learning and discerning truth from error. Study God’s Word. For in it there is Sustenance for the Soul. Jesus is God’s Word made Flesh. He is the bread of Life. That meaning of your spiritual life.
