I had posted a couple of weeks ago about this hour. But we should in all fairness to the pre-Trib advocate also consider if this admonition could be only for the Jews of that end time nation of Israel, as these scholars must expect it to be, if the Church in their opinion has been removed. But if this were the case — what would it mean concerning the future salvation of Israel and what is written concerning their salvation?
They the Jews in Israel, will in fact, not have responded to what they’ve heard about the gospel message based on O.T. Passages, not until after the purging of their nation, to occur just before the Lords coming (Zach.12&13). Also, Jesus said to Israel “You will not see Me again, until you say blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.” So, His appearance will actually be in response to Israel’s calling upon Him, affecting that appearing. During the final battle of Armageddon we are told that 2/3 of Israel will be destroyed. This again according to Zachariah 13:8-9. Would this time then not also be before the very hour that they know not, yet, they are prophesied to take their part in their deliverance by calling upon the Lord at that time.
And again, in fact there would be no preparation that they could possibly make for this hour that they know not. Their calling upon the Lord will seal their salvation, which is already prophesied for those, who remain following Armageddon. When it comes upon them the Holy Spirit will have been protecting them just for this time. He seals them during Tribulation. He will have refined those who are sealed, and they will at the time in question just before the hour of His coming call upon the Lord (see article titled “Messiah Stains His Garment”). He will be refining them as though by fire to be as purest gold. They will be reattached to the same olive tree which we are or have been grafted into. This is fulfillment of the Romans 11 message.
So where does all of this leave us concerning a falling away from the faith? Israel can’t be those intended to hear this admonition, for during the Tribulation itself they will be purged in order that they might know what to expect concerning Jacobs trouble and the Lord’s deliverance of them through it. The final remnant of Israel will only then come to this truth concerning faith in Messiah.
We believers, among whom are those who understand Paul’s teachings in 1st and 2nd Thessalonians; and 1 Cor. 15 know that the hour of Jesus coming is after these Tribulation signs and events. So we have been feeding on the truth of God’s word for strength and for a growing faith to ready ourselves for everything that the Lord requires of us even including possibly the giving of our life if that is His will for us.
American Men in almost every generation have put their lives on the line for this country, yet many Christians believe that Jesus will not require them to do the same for Him. In fact, He already has required this of others all down through church history.
So does this not then say that it is those members of His body, who find themselves in darkness and not knowing what to expect during the days of Satan (the thief) when he acts upon all believers alive at that time, because the hour of their deliverance is one that they know not.
Is the admonition of not discerning the hour not then for those, who likely will not know how to respond, when in the midst of Tribulation (the thief’s) attacks will come. For then it is, that they are being robbed: even very possibly of their very faith; and it is therefore, because of these things they do not understand that and are not made ready for this unknown hour. Is this why many actually will fall away; because He is coming at an hour that they think not?
Perhaps an even more pertinent question for you to ponder is — what could Jesus possibly have meant by this warning if there is no danger for us the church, as some are teaching, concerning this hour. Pre-Trib Eschatology seems to miss the mark, when considering the hour of the thief’s coming. No danger of falling away — no danger of one stealing your crown.
James 1:12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation; for when he hath been approved, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord promised to them that love him.
Revelation 2:10 Fear not the things, which thou art about to suffer: behold, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days. Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee the crown of life.
Revelation 3:11 I come quickly: hold fast that which thou hast, that no one take thy crown.
If you believe what you have read on this blog or in the book, then join me in serving the Lord to get feed to the sheep. You can help me get this word out. Jesus is coming, but at an hour that likely today most believers think not. He expects us as His servants to give them their proper food at the proper time. Now is that time.
In case you have not noticed there is no place on this site asking for money, so, sharing this information is your contribution to God’s truth, but only if you think the sight to have scriptural meaning. The cost of serving may cost you little monetarily, but, someday it may cost you your life in this world in order to see Jesus in His glory. .
