But not the day nor the hour. It will according to His Word to us occur after the Tribulation, and after the resurrection, if those Scriptures presented have anything to do with it, and they almost certainly do. There are others that say the same. We have seen those elsewhere in other posts.
Within those scriptures there was Jesus’ promise of Paradise and the fruit of the tree of life to the overcomer. You and I are charged with living an overcoming life. Paul tells us that we are to live contented no matter in what state we find ourselves. We learned that it is likely that the Church will see Tribulation before we see Jesus.
Today we are in the midst of troubling times. Being content with our lot, does not mean that we are not to be alert to our times. Being vigilant and alert, is part of Jesus warning to us to not be deceived. Knowing the direction of our leaders is something that prophets of old were told to do.
Prophets, if they were of God, understood the ways of Israel’s leaders, whether good or bad and they recorded them. They confronted these leaders. They communicated to the people what God showed them about those leaders. We are to pray for ours. We are to pray for one another.
God has given to His Church gifts from His Holy Spirit. We are first to be filled with His Spirit; baptized in not just water, but in His Spirit; gifted for service by Him, and we are to minister to one another, and make disciples from the world around us for His kingdom.
As His Church, He tells us that we need only to ask and His Father will give His Holy Spirit to us. We need only to ask and He will gift us for the ministry that He seeks to perform through us. A contented life as was Paul’s is walking and trusting in the Holy Spirits provisions and direction, and in peace with Him. We cannot have peace with ourselves or with Him if we are not doing His will. We cannot know His will if we do not seek it.
These times if reading them correctly will become harder. We know that at some point times must become very hard, before Jesus comes. Knowing that and staying close to Him and to one another will provide us the wisdom and strength needed to continue in our overcoming as He has encouraged us to do.
He will direct you in the use of your gifts. He will make us wise and discerning not only in the Word, but in its application to our times. He has the answers to all of our questions. He will provide them in His own time.
