Well at least it reveals to us that it is about the church and her discernment or lack thereof. I’m not yet picking up on the Glory and power of the Kingdom, but perhaps that is because it is still future, and things we are told in Scripture will get worse before it (His kingdom) comes to earth.

So, today politics is unlike the old days when politicians could work across the aisle for the good of the country in general. Sure we had had our moments in the past, but today “fundamental change” was and is impacting our nation. So, unfortunately today is different, because most of the working across the aisle is a further and further compromise to the left, and the digging of a deeper and deeper hole in the nations debt for our people as a nation, and leading us more in the direction toward a socialist communist society.

Obama’s victory. What was its meaning? Exactly what would be the fundamental transformation of America, and did we need such a transformation?

Torres was chastised for reading a letter from a black pastor expressing this sentiment. But Why? Torres the pastor of this church right away assumed it was racial?

But that was an assumption on his part not reality. Why is it that communication doesn’t happen within churches? Torres needed to ask why do you feel this way, rather than believing it to just be racial, which he did. Had he asked why perhaps he would have found out why. He did go to their FB pages and found what he immediately judged as critical thinking? No sorry it was conspiracy theory.

It amazes me that a people mainly liberal, can determine that Trump was unqualified for office in 2016 because he had a propensity to sin sexually in his past, and maybe in the future; and he stole the election by conspiring with Russia: yet, for us conservatives to be opposed to a candidate it must be for some racist propensity on our part; it in no way could be because of, who he was trained up by when operating as a community organizer, or who sponsored him for office and funded him in the Illinois legislature. The man was bordering on being a communist bent on changing America and we were supposed to love him, because he is black? No in this case we would consider loving him as an enemy, and we would never knowingly allow an enemy into our government. And what has been the result of allowing him? Today we are overflowing with enemies within our government. and we have witnessed fundamental change. Yes, we are to pray for him once he is in office but our prayers were unfortunately just as ineffective in bringing about change in his agenda as the liberal’s prayers are effective in bringing about the overall effectiveness in Trumps achievements for the country. Amazing how powerful their prayers are.

We therefore are much better off when it’s the liberal progressives doing the praying, for most (not all) Republicans, who have gained office as their enemies; much more so than we are when we are praying for a progressive in office, who resembles the communists around the world. It’s just the case. I don’t understand it, but it is.

So, in chapter two, I will just say that Torres was wrongfully harassed by his parishioners. But that does not make him right. He is the pastor. He needs to know why people believe as they do about politics if he is going to be political. If I am going to take a stand on doctrine in my blog then I need to know what causes me to do so. I must explain to others what in scripture makes them wrong, if I believe them to be wrong.

Tortes again assumed the information on which his people based their understanding of CoVid and George Floyd to be without any rational thought or facts upon which to make a judgment. It’s racial, or it’s conspiracy theory.

But there was no theory in the conspiracy waived against Trump. He was impeached more than once. He was cut off of social media, he was negatively written about in the media 9+ times out of 10, yet the country boomed under him and then came CoVid? Almost every one says without CoVid he would have won? CoVid was covered up from day one as to its origins. A China lab as Trump was ridiculed for stating: is now its likely origin. Hydroxychloriquin which Trump first made public and was summarily criticized for in the media is now along with Ivermectin a listed treatment, and was very effective.

In a trial where a jury is expected to bring in a verdict so that a Judge can pass judgment; there must be evidence presented on both sides of the issue. Torres was believing his own evidence and assuming the other side to be without any. Pastors have a way of because they are trained a certain way that that way is without reproach. When they are reproached therefore they become defensive. Often they will not do anything to resemble giving consideration to another viewpoint.

I too could write a book about such cases. Leaving a church is sometimes the right thing to do, if after your view is lovingly expressed; but then there is no response back or if that response when it comes, comes from the pulpit likening the opposing view, as though it comes from Judas himself. Good judgment requires good information, and good leadership requires excellent judgment.

A viewpoint that is never heard will likely not be compromised. And with some things there can be no compromising. I often present these verses to drive home the importance of being true to correct doctrine.

1 Timothy 4:15 Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all. 16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them (all the correct doctrines): for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee. (KJV)

Doctrine or our teaching needs to be based on the truth of scripture. It will affect our own salvation and the salvation of those we teach. Not all issues are doctrinal, but truth is important to all issues especially for a pastor or teacher.

I think you know what I think of our Pastor Tom, but each of our pastors bring much wisdom to our congregation. In our church we are equally yoked in Christ. As we saw with Biden’s own Christianity in yesterdays post, he had all manner of worldly religious leadership on the stage with him at his inauguration. Had Trump done that we would have been just as upset, as we were with Biden. Actions speak louder than words. Biden’s government has indeed brought the weaponization of our government against his political enemies, just as the parishioners in Tim’s fathers church had told them was coming. They had discernment that Tim had none of, and still even writing the book about all this he has not picked up on the situation. Yet his new book, is a #1 best seller. Go figure?

Tim bought Torres’ conclusion about the congregations reaction as being racism, why?

Discernment not racism had everything to do with the evangelical churches reaction.
