I had this book recommended by a brother asking for an opinion: so I begin.

Tim actually starts out in his prologue with his bias against Trump which he was displaying in his book tour for his previous book; then he introduces his concern for the complete buy in from the evangelical church of Trump. Tim’s flaw concerns his willingness to see liberal Christians buy into policies of the green movement, and abortion rights, and gay parades complete with perverted gender appropriate attire and a potential long lasting influence on impressionable children; yet we should not Tolerate Trump, who has Ingushes in the sin of likely every straight man who ever lived the sin of Adulterous thought and in his case he acted upon it as so many of us have, did he flaunt it as the Gays and gender crowd constantly does? The answer is yes. Has he entertained the truth of his sin as he has surrounded himself with conservative Christian influence? Only God knows?

So I begin my critique with this understanding: Tim has no more right to the moral high ground; than do those whom he is very critical of just in this prologue and in his very first chapter; wherein he is critiquing his own local church for not accepting a liberal pastor.

But it is here in his first chapter that Tim shows his unwillingness to examine both sides of an issue. Conservatives reacted to CoVid, because the knew that there is an agenda. They were aware of Bill Gates involvement in his very profitable investments in vaccines. They were aware of his involvement in a meeting in the two years before Covid where a form of war games took place to counter their own skepticism of the proper way to fight a newly occurring pandemic. They quickly of Fauci’s past involvement with certain aspects of this new mRNA drug or vaccine which seemed to have been tested and failed in a prior trial. They were to put it mildly skeptical, and “the war game” which had closely mirrored this moment included brainstorming on ways to oppose their knowledge with government and media propaganda.

All of this information was out there. They were cautious and they were not going blindly into something that was unknown. Of course much more information came out over the next several months even before the vaccine was released to the public. Some of it conspiratorial. Some of it was wrong, but much of it was right. The immediate suspicion was : this will. E used to defeat Trump, who up until this point had been very successful in his policies; which were their (the evangelical churches) desired policies. And this despite the constant harassment from media and the Democrats in congress.

Now we have had introduced to this informed conservative congregation a new liberal left leaning tree hugging pastor, who I might add was of Tim’s Fathers own choosing, which brings out a major flaw in the selection process for this the Presbyterian church, but I’ll not go there. You likely already know what it is. So now here we are with CoVid. The new pastor wants to blindly follow government regulation:

So, Tim makes a generalization, that is not unwarranted. The conservative church in general has had in some cases excessive teaching; much of which has proven misguided concerning prophecy, but to say that every Democrat is in some satanic camp to over through the world is far fetched. Conservatives were again just plain skeptical, and frankly, as this has panned out, should have been.

But then George Floyd occurred. He brings this up, but as you consider what he says here: is he saying that Jesus does not condone George Floyd’s murder, but that He does condone the murder of Police officers as a result. The spittal in their faces? That He condones the destruction of the businesses involved? The destruction of property? Listen:

This next item seems to be a link where a wedge is seen by the author as a driven wedge between Christian’s following Jesus and those following the world, which he had earlier pointed out as the problem with evangelical Christians today.

Do you believe this “not” to be the case? The FBI under Biden and Democrats has stated Trump MAGA followers are the dangerous terrorists in our country today.

let’s look at the evidence:

Here is Biden Himself:

And this is from the Article on the religious impact on the Biden inauguration in Jan of 21.

The next is taken from this article:

“And if you take the time to look, you can see that pretty much every progressive cause today has religiously motivated organizations and individuals driving its support.

This is in large part because the religious left is increasingly diverse. Thursday’s service featured prayers from Catholic, Protestant, Jewish, Muslim, Greek Orthodox, Navajo, Hindu, Sikh, Mormon and other traditions. There is a broad and powerful coalition of religious groups that support a progressive way forward for our country.”

But progressive Christianity does not include evangelical Christians, not from the Catholic or Protestant faiths. This Catholic Pope is a liberal who is the first pope opposed as he is by conservatives within the Catholic church.

Tim our author seems to present his dad’s church as a good cross-section of the conservative church. I don’t see it that way. Presbyterians are Post Millennial which means that their belief surrounds the ushering in of God’s kingdom but not with Jesus presence on earth as Jesus Himself states it to be. They represent a different kind of Conservative, who would entertain QANON, most evangelicals do not. I do not, and I doubt that Fred or Frank would. Neither would any other Jesus following believer ever share the stage in unity of prayer with Hindu, Sikh, or Muslims. That action would speak much louder than even Jesus words stating that He is the only way to the Father. Tim forgot that Patrick Byrne saw Trump thinking that the fight to prove election fraud was all about Trump himself. That’s hardly a Messiah complex. Bannon a Catholic conservative Christian also says it’s not about Trump. It’s about His policies. I would agree.

And it’s not about Christians ruling; it’s about freedom of speech. Freedom to share the gospel. Freedom to pray in public places: freedom to pray on public sidewalks in front of abortion clinics. And yes freedom to do in private in your bedroom what you deem correct, but not the freedom to expose our children to what you do there. Even heterosexuals had their films rated so that children were protected.

Far Right wing radical “Christian’s” are no different than far left wing radical “Christians”. Both make a bad name for True believers in Christ.

Bob this is my first and maybe my last critique of Tim’s book.
