This study was our men’s group in our neighborhood at Tree Lakes. I don’t mind being challenged, when I have had opportunity to present my case. When we are challenged we need to first think; then pray, and at some point proceed to answer the challenge with the tools that we are given, if we have not been allowed to do so otherwise. Especially if we believe that our position is God given Scripture. The challenge put to me was clear.

I had just commented on what is to me exciting in this our day prophetically. I had reported that two things have recently occurred in relation to the rebuilding of the Jewish Temple. One involved its location; the other the possession of now three (possibly 4) qualifying red heifers. Only one of these heifers is needed as a sacrifice to meet the requirements for the rebuilding of the third Temple. I then stated as a result that I was looking for the rebuilding of the Temple. One of our men present stated back to me: “you are looking for the rebuilding of the Temple; I am looking for the coming of Jesus.”

There were others who agreed. It certainly is my desire to see Jesus face to face, but believing His word is also my desire.

I did not respond at that time. I needed to think and pray. At the time, I could have taken that as a personal rebuke, because there are those who teach today and have for my entire lifetime, that the next event on God’s calendar is the coming of Jesus. The teaching is that there are no events necessary to occur, before the coming of Jesus in the Rapture.

And in fact, there may be times for a personal rebuke, but many of us know that there are Scriptures, which need to be considered in deciding what we are to be looking for in these our times. Jesus expects us to know our times.

So my decision now is to post this and to have within it an attachment, wherein I have covered my reasons for not expecting a Rapture, not prior to the Rapture of God’s own teaching to us in Scripture. Jesus’ own teaching of His coming, in both Matthew and Mark, seems to agree completely with Paul’s understanding of these events:

The attachment will begin the journey seeking what God says about our time. I love discussing God’s word. I’m open to being proven wrong, but I need to see the word (the Truth of) that proof when contrasted to this word that I reference in order to see how or if it would change the meaning of these things recorded in Scripture that I share here. Read and pray on the words of God examined here:
