It is amazing just how hard it is to get the truth disseminated to the world. A lot has to do with where we get our truth. And then on how we assimilate facts, but mostly our truth is determined by the foundations or biases that we construct what eventually becomes our truth upon.

The character and beliefs of the one giving out information has to be at play in our own discerning of truth.

Often the audience will determine if what is being stated is truthful or purposefully being tainted.

So being gullible is not really a recipe for reality. Politicians are known liars. If the government itself is therefore the main source for the information at hand; then we can easily be misled. For information to be believed there must be trust.

Fortunately truth is always there; somewhere. It just must be found. Searching for it becomes much more important when lives and or the the life of one’s country is at stake.

Open this attachment and click on the Quotes link to read. Then ask this question: what in this man’s background as a leader in the PLO at the time that this speech was made would affect its truth? Does what he states make sense based on the history between Israel and the Arab nations. Does it make sense in light of the stated purpose of the Arab nations during that time. We know that lying is a tool of the Muslim and that it is permitted by Allah in their holy literature. So can we believe this to be truth or a lie? This exercise unfortunately is needed today surrounding everything that we read and hear in the political environment.

Unfortunately only God knows the motives of the heart, but with the amount of disinformation today we must (with the facts) get to the truth. Or we fall. A nation divided against itself cannot stand. Knowing that deception exists must drive our search for truth. Deception exists not just in politics, but even within religion and yes even within Christianity. Biases always affect our openness and desire for truth.

Bias is only overcome when we consider all the facts.
