There are actually three camps within this present Earth age. What Scripture calls the world actually contains two of these three camps.

There are those who have bought into the deceptions of God’s enemy. The Scripture states concerning them that considering themselves to be wise they are fools. These are less likely to be converted; although there is hope up until the end of his own days for every man.

Most of us who are in Christ came out of the secondary group from within the world, we were once children of wrath as are all the rest, but we heard the truth of the gospel and believed making us worthy to one day be revealed as the sons of God. God rules through the Son in this camp. He will in a future time take up His rule over all the earth. Outside of this camp there is but one ruler. He is before God a defeated foe, but that defeat is only right now seen in Christs presence within man . Just as God who is over this one camp of believers goes by many names; so the leader over this world’s camp also goes by many names. He is known as Lucifer; Satan; the ruler of Darkness; the beast; the dragon; the Antichrist and more. This entity is the spiritual force over this present world.

We have all been influenced by his tactics. Even Jesus had His own bout with this fallen spiritual entity. Jesus encounters him in the wilderness following His 40 days of fasting. He later encounters him in the garden on the night that He was arrested. Satan in another garden many centuries prior had established himself as the deceptive ruler over this world as he deceived man.

It was following that move to take the world into its battle with sin, that God prophesied Satan’s coming demise. Sometimes believers confuse that demise with what Jesus did on the cross and following, but although that act marked the finish or the defeat of sin for all who would believe, still it was not Satan’s final defeat. That will come only following the return of Christ to take up His reign over this world.

Leading up to that time Satan is known in Scripture to produce a global power that will rule over most of mankind.

Today his efforts toward that end are seen in almost every nation in the western world where there is being heard the need for a one world order. His purpose for the destruction of mankind is being established within his rulers in this world in high places.

God’s purpose for us as His people is to do spiritual battle against these forces be they spirits or men inhabited by the evil of those spirits.

Blessed are the peacemakers. One cannot make peace in a fallen world without taking up the spiritual weapons included within the Amor of God. Have we armed ourselves for this battle.

We are not to fear what we see coming upon this earth. This earthly battle will only be won by the Lord. We can only be overcomer’s within.
