Matthew 24:15 “Therefore when you see the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place–let the reader understand– 16 then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains. (NASB2020)

In looking back through history had the Jewish people of Russia or Germany known what Stalin and Hitler’s regimes were about to do to them, within each of their own times; then certainly most would have fled. Christians would have fled from Stalin’s Russia. And of course, there have been other terror ridden regimes in the East within our not so distant past, of which we could say the same.

I recently read a book that I had mentioned in an earlier post. The book was Illuminati authored by Larry Burkett. In the fictional book he had some Americans fleeing an evil regime taking over America and in it they quoted this passage as reason for their flight.

At the time I questioned the application of this passage to Americans. Then the inquisitive side of my mind led me to this discovery:

Those of you who know me through my writings know that I take stock in Paul’s “one new man” of Ephesians to mean what it implies: that we Gentiles, who were outside of God’s promises to Israel or to the Jews, are now one with the saints even as Paul lays this out in Scripture.

◦ So now we too are partakers of their covenants and promises even as he says but only if we are in their promised messiah or Christ. Why does he not use Israel instead of saints? He distinguishes only some of Israel to be saints, with whom we have become one, why? — it is because not all Israel has achieved sainthood through salvation.

Paul in fact says elsewhere: he who is a true Jew will have had his heart and not his foreskin circumcised, or not just his foreskin circumcised; which ever is the case. Paul even says that God has adopted us into this chosen family of His, and in it will be revealed the sons of God.

I have stated all of this to say: that those who praise the God of Israel and not the false god prophesied to come by Daniel: we are all to flee this place of our praising Him (this our Judea) when and if we see this abomination take place spoken of by Jesus.

We are not yet in that time, for there is no temple, but these things are to be passed on to your children and to your children’s children. For it is Jesus warning to a given people for a given time.

What is available in our day is the ability for any government tyrant to know where it is that you can and will offer up your praise to God. Be that praise at your church; your home; your vehicle or even your favorite sites. In fact it can and will be known wherever you could go or have before gone with your phone.

In America men and women had never before been placed in prison or released from prison because of political views. That unfortunately is changing. Hatred is a disease that spreads more rapidly than CoVid. Evil lurks in the darkness until it feels free to encroach upon the light where it is either snuffed out by the light or it overshadows the light. Until that day comes when we are to flee, we must be the light reflecting Christ to an ever darkening world.
