Rifqa Bary’s book Hiding in the Light, is a must read.
Ellen and I, have a new tradition. She is reading to me a book, in addition to what we each read independently of one another. Rifqa’s book is her current pick to read to me. We are only half way through and I have been so deeply touched by a faith that may even surpass that of my most favorite Bible characters.
What she has given up to follow our Lord is so far beyond what any of my friends or family have had to sacrifice. The book is a faith builder, as well as a tear jerker. I plan to buy others to share with others.
May God bless you Rifqa even as He has blessed me through your testimony.
Just found it on Kindle. Thank you !

I am going to find this. I have never heard of it. There is one that you should read also. It’s by Voice of The Martyrs or VOM. It’s called Hearts of Fire. It has stories of 8 women. Their testimony is powerful. As a matter of fact VOM gives it away at least once a year. I get it or buy whenever I find it and give it away too. Be blessed brother.

I found and ordered Hiding in the Light. Thanks, Brother, I am sure we will ‘enjoy’ it. I use that term loosely as we read many books about our persecuted brothers and sisters. To know what they go through, that we may be bound in chains with them. As Ethiopian said to Philip how will I know unless someone teaches me. He was talking about the Word of God, but the same applies to us about Persecution. How will we know unless we search for it.

The thing that is demonstrated so clearly to us in scripture and in life’s examples is the fact that God does not intend for us to escape persecution when it comes. It appears we are to in fact expect it. In this country my fear for our brethren is that we are not prepared. I like what Cori’s Father told her, but part of her preparation was just knowing that it might come. Knowing and expecting the ticket from our Father when the time comes. But Americans like our brethren, who were in China, are not expecting; and false expectations in life, I find, gives cause to great disappointment.
