According to the Daily Mail, the “Ring of Fire” was shaken by a total of 69 major earthquakes on Sunday and Monday…
Sixty nine major earthquakes have hit Earth’s most active geological disaster zone in the space of just 48 hours.
Sixteen ‘significant’ tremors – those at magnitude 4.5 or above – shook the Pacific ‘Ring of Fire’ on Monday, following a spate of 53 that hit the region Sunday.
This came from: Michael Snyder who is a nationally syndicated writer, media personality and political activist. He is publisher of The Most Important News.
Jesus came out from the temple and was going away when His disciples came up to point out the temple buildings to Him. And He said to them, “Do you not see all these things? Truly I say to you, not one stone here will be left upon another, which will not be torn down.” 6 You will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes. 8 But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs.
Matthew 24:1-2,6-8 NASB
Two kingdoms were set to be birthed upon the arrival of Messiah. The first is the Spiritual kingdom of God. It was birthed following the resurrection of Jesus. It is well described in the happenings of the early church leading up to the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple. The birthing of the second kingdom is replete with many of the same signs and when it occurs it will mean the revealing of the sons of God who will rule with Messiah for 1000 years in His earthly kingdom.
The beginning of birth pangs is foretold by Jesus as wars, famines and earthquakes, “But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs.”
These things are happening and are in fact increasing. But the labor pains for both kingdoms are more fully described in the Revelation.
The world as we know it is changing and we are seeing the beginning of the Millennial birth pangs. The sons of God who are revealed on the day of the Lord in the millennial kingdom will spend eternity with the lord in His heavenly kingdom.
One thing have I desired of the Lord , that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord , and to enquire in his temple. Psalm 27:4
David in this and the 23rd Psalm made clear his belief and God’s teaching that he as a Jew and king in Israel will dwell in God’s heavenly home for eternity. Yet prophecy teachers in our day attempt to tell us that Israel’s promise and covenant is only an earthly residence, and that ours as the church is only heavenly, and therefore we are not one in eternity.
What these overlook is that we were taught to pray Thy kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven. We are praying for an earthly kingdom. Today as one people we are called by many names just as our Savior is called by many names; — the body, the bride, the sons of God, the church, Israel — and in the future we will exist as one new man in God’s plan first for the age to come — the millennium, and then for all the ages to come in his heavenly kingdom.
Jerry, Jesus spoke of two ages, “this age” and “the age to come”. How I wish there was a someone who could take you through the Scriptures on this one!
Luke 18:29-30 NASB
29 And He said to them, “Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house or wife or brothers or parents or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God, 30 who will not receive many times as much at this time and in the age to come, eternal life.”
Mark 10:29-31
29 Jesus said, “Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or farms, for My sake and for the gospel’s sake, 30 but that he will receive a hundred times as much now in the present age, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and farms, along with persecutions; and in the age to come, eternal life.

I take it you read my chapter on this age and the next? And apparently disagree? Or do I have you wrong?

Jerry, do you mean Chapter 7 “The Story of This Age As Told By Scripture”? No, I haven’t yet. I was reacting to this:
“God’s plan first for the age to come — the millennium, and then for all the ages to come in his heavenly kingdom.”
I will read Chapter 7.

I’m more than halfway through Chapter 2 and have made lots of notes, agreeing or disagreeing with points you’ve made. The chapter is thought-provoking, Jerry, and you make some good points, but I think we’re using the terms “this age” and “the age to come” in different ways. You believe “the age to come” is a millennial kingdom age, but I believe the age to come isn’t finite but eternal, an eternity with the Lord in the new heavens and new earth and New Jerusalem.
I know that you believe in a literal Millennium but it took me all this reading to understand we are not using the terms in the same way.

I know that most Christians today are not in the literal 1000 year earthly reign camp. I have difficulty not taking scripture literally where it makes sense. Jesus’ reign to me makes sense because it will prove that man is nothing but rebellious even when Satan is bound and God Himself is reigning. It will serve to prove the scriptures correct that man’s heart is evil continuously. When Satan is finally released they will once again choose to follow him in rebellion. I of course can be wrong. But Christ will rule with us with a rod of iron. When has that happened under grace? And is that what you expect to take place throughout eternity? If you read Daniel chapter 7, there is teaching that some of the dominions or nations will remain beyond the setting up of Christ on His throne. He Himself says that when He returns He will judge the nations based on works not based on Christ in them the hope of glory. Those nations cannot be saved, can they? Yet they are allowed into the eternal kingdom prepared for them, based only on what they did for Jesus’ brethren. We Maria are His brethren. Think about it. I think Spurgeon and I agree on this point. But I will not fault your disagreement. There are going to be many ages in eternity. Eyes have not seen nor ears heard the things that are in store for those who love Him. Blessings as you continue seeking His truth.

Jerry,
Forgive me for not getting back to you before now about Chapter 2 of your book! For now, let me respond to something in your comment and then later I’ll respond to Chapter 2. I can’t respond to all of your comment now – there is a lot there.
You wrote in your comment, “Those nations cannot be saved, can they? Yet they are allowed into the eternal kingdom prepared for them,…”
“The nations” which are gathered before the King are made up of individuals, sheep and goats, Jews and Gentiles. This judgment must be the general judgment of individuals from all nations (“the nations”) – the Great White Throne of Revelation – for the outcomes are eternal, as revealed in Matthew 25:46:
“These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
There is only one way for sheep to be righteous, and that is through the blood of Jesus. This is an eternal righteousness – we can only be a sheep by being saved, born again. And the Millennium cannot be the eternal Kingdom prepared for the sheep because it isn’t eternal. Its very name shows that it’s finite, temporary.

Ok, I realize this is somewhat confusing in scripture, but if you look at Daniel 7, when Jesus returns to reign He destroys the dominions or nations, but some remain for a season. Here is the passage: Then I kept looking because of the sound of the boastful words which the horn was speaking; I kept looking until the beast was slain, and its body was destroyed and given to the burning fire. As for the rest of the beasts, their dominion was taken away, but an extension of life was granted to them for an appointed period of time.
Daniel 7:11-12 Obviously, these are not eternal but human beings. And Jesus when He Judges The Nations in Matt 25 is doing this after He returns. When He returns all the saved of this age are with Him, resurrection and Rapture of the saved is over. These nations are therefore being judged as scripture tells based solely on their works or as it states here based on how the treated His brethren. We His brethren are standing here with Jesus. So there are three groups there. In Joseph Goods book on the kingdom from a Messianic Jewish perspective he says that the Jews believed that there were three peoples judged at the Lords return. The totally righteous, that would be us who are in Christ, the totally wicked, the goats could represent these, and those who are given until Yom Kippur the day of atonement to repent or be cast out. Remember these sheep nations have not yet died nor have they been Raptured. The eternal kingdom was prepared for them to inhabit in the flesh, they are their because they have done righteous deeds to us who were here during Tribulation, and now they must accept Jesus as their savior by Yom Kippur. Even though the kingdom is eternal, and they are judged righteous for their deeds, they cannot earn the kingdom for eternity based on their own righteous deeds. Their is nothing mentioned in the Matt 25 passage that indicates that they even know Jesus. If they were saved would they not know when they had given Jesus food, drink, or clothing by doing it to their brethren. But Jesus didn’t say that these who they helped were their brethren, but His brethren. These fit with Daniels dominions who are given life for a season. Beyond that I cannot Gods mind, because He has not revealed any more in scripture. But you may also consider the nations who remain in Zachariah 14. Neither do these seemed to be saved nations, but instead nations who are ruled by Christ. Remember He rules with a rod of iron, and we the saved sons of God rule with Him for 1000 years.

Maria, I’m going to post my answer here as a new post and clean it up a bit where I wasn’t very clear. I think it is an important topic. And it is miss communicated by many. And you are forgiven. Thanks for your input.
